Iowa Speedway will be added to the 2024 Cup Schedule today. There's some other schedule news coming, but it looks like Iowa will be the only new track added for next season. Jayski reports that negotiations with Montreal fell through.

We'll probably have an official schedule tomorrow or Thursday for next season (I've seen both days being tossed around). Darlington likely to become the regular season finale tomorrow. The Olympics are gonna impact the schedule next season, so there's an outside chance of a midweek race or a double header. Iowa is expected to replace Fontana.

Iowa news is official. Pockrass also reporting that we should have 1-2 new playoff tracks next season. For clarity, they will be tracks that are already on the schedule but weren't in the postseason this year.

I have always liked Iowa Speedway. Glad to see that it will be back on the NASCAR schedule.

Definitely interesting. Not thrilled about 2 weeks off because of the Olympics, but NBC apparently made that happen.

At least NWB kept the All Star race. Hopefully they can get into the regular season in 2025. Also, I'm fucking PUMPED that Atlanta is kicking off the playoffs. That's one of the best tracks on the circuit, and having it in the post-season is a great move. I may try to catch the All Star and the Atlanta playoff race in person next season.

Deegan moving up to AM Racing in Xfinity on a multi year deal. That’s todays reminder that if you have sponsorship money, you don’t really have to be good.

I still like Hailie and am rooting for her. Shes shown in the past that she can at least be decent. For whatever reason she just really struggled in the truck series. Hopefully she will have better luck in the Xfinity Series.

Not sure how I feel about AM Racing though because Brett Moffitt quietly has 1 top 5 and 8 top 10s for them so far this year and Moffitt's a former truck series champ who just won another truck race. So they are probably hopeful to have better rides next year than now. Will be interesting to see if Moffitt stays at AM Racing or he goes elsewhere.

I’ll be fair to Deegan, and say the talent down in the trucks isn’t that great and sometimes it’s hard to learn when the people around you are not that good either. So I think a move up MIGHT can help her improve. At least I hope so.

I hope it can help her, but I’ve also not seen anything that makes me think it will. Driving for Thor, she’s had some of the better equipment in the series but just can’t execute. I’m a big fan of her dad, so I’d like to see her succeed.
