Who should be higher? Michigan who TCU beat? Alabama who wasn't even in the final 4? Ohio State who couldn't make it to the finals? I mean the championship game determines 1 and 2. They lost so they are 2.

I get what you're saying. Especially since Michigan whipped OSU too. However, I think this is a good argument to expand the playoffs to maybe eight teams. This showed that a team can get hyped to play "one" big game, but it takes a team with depth to seal the deal.

For example, in 2007 Boise State won an emotional game against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. If they play LSU in the next week, it would have been similar results as last night's game.

When Utah won the beat Bama in the Sugar Bowl, they would have been eaten alive by that Florida team that won the title that season.

It's easy to get up for one game, but it takes coaching, depth, and skills to win it all.

There are 8 voters in the final AP poll that ranked Ohio St higher than Michigan. Michigan has a better record, won the conference, and dominated the Buckeyes in their own stadium. What are we doing here?
