I find it hilarious that there's a vocal minority that are very anti-Koivu for some reason.

The man was a face of a 20 year old franchise for 75% of its existence and represented the franchise with dignity. Who cares if he wasn't a perennial all-star, an MVP, or a playoff machine. Fucking plebians act like in you have to be a hall of Famer to have your number retired. Teams retire numbers for any number of reasons.

Yeah I don’t get it. Dude was their star forward for over 10 years. He probably told Gallagher he could wear it but Gallagher for sure should have just chosen a different number tbh.
