He hasn't had too many problems this season so far, and I don't wish COVID on people, but he has to do a lot to gain trust and potential respect with his history.

I find it hilarious that there's a vocal minority that are very anti-Koivu for some reason.

The man was a face of a 20 year old franchise for 75% of its existence and represented the franchise with dignity. Who cares if he wasn't a perennial all-star, an MVP, or a playoff machine. Fucking plebians act like in you have to be a hall of Famer to have your number retired. Teams retire numbers for any number of reasons.

Exactly. When folks thought of the Minnesota Wild, Mikko Koivu was one of the first names to come to mind, and he was beloved by almost every player on and off the ice. If that isn't deserving, I don't know what is.
