The newly named 'King Of Swing' Cesaro.

I'll be honest, I totally didn't see this coming but gotta admit that I'm 100% behind it. I think Zeb did a great job for Cesaro in getting him over with the crowd in his Real American gimmick however it's a great decision to align him with Paul Heyman who will hopefully take him up another level into main event status.

It's going to be interesting to see how this duo works together over the coming weeks and whether or not Cesaro keeps going with his fan friendly wrestling style while Heyman takes up the 'blurred lines' role as Deezy would call it or whether they make a transition into a more traditional heel / face role. From what I read in the SmackDown report for this Friday, Cesaro seemed to be playing more of a heelish role with his ring work by using stalling tactics, eye rakes etc.

What do you make to the pairing and how do you see them panning out over the coming weeks?

I've always preferred Claudio as a face... but that's not to say I don't like the heelish work. Him being with Paul is awesome and I hope it plays out with Cesaro eventually becoming a mainstay in the main event. Just gonna be extremely awkward seeing him and Brock both vying for the title if that's indeed where Brock is headed. I do, however, wish more than ever that Punk was back for this. I actually think a Punk/Cesaro team would be perfect for the tag ranks.

Was a great move but there is a very interesting aspect here. Which is that Cesaro was seemingly in the midst of a face turn so that should be interesting to see how they handle that. Defnitely see this working out better than the Axel/Ryback with Heyman pairing. Also really interested in seeing some Zeb/Heyman interaction as that should be fun. Cesaro and Swagger probably will feud for a little while longer before Cesaro hopefully moves on to a bigger feud.

Gives Heyman something to do while Lesnars next appearance happens, it's beneficial to him and Cesaro, who isn't coming in cold like Axel or feuding with Punk who never put anyone over but Heyman in that whole feud. Would love to just see Swagger and Cesaro take out the best parts of Benoit/Angle 00-03 while Zeb and Heyman cut promos on each other, I'd be entertained by this for months.

Very big fan of this although I don't see him actually being with Heyman too long. Wonder where Zeb goes from here now.

I'm glad this is finally happening. I actually called this months ago when everyone was still proclaiming Curtis Axel was good. The only thing I don't like about this is if they try and make him a full on heel. I think there are already too many heels. Now they're pushing Rusev and Barrett as well as bringing up Bo and Adam Rose although were not sure when here actually debuting. We'll be seeing alternating squash matches with Ryder, Kofi and Truth.

Hopefully this leads to a Sheamus/Cesaro feud where they beat the hell out of each other. I think with Heyman at his side, Cesaro has everything he needs to be a main event player.

Didn't see it coming. When I heard about talk of a new Paul Heyman Guy, I spent some time thinking about who it could be, but never did I imagine it to be Cesaro. Now that he's won the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania, he's obviously going to be pushed and with Brock away, what better guy to pair him up with than Heyman.

Epic pairing, I'm very excited to see where this goes.

Cesaro isn't going to flop like Curtis Axel did.

Axel wasn't a flop, it was sabotage from a guy who wouldn't put him over in singles, wouldn't put him over in a handicap match and made him look like a useless pussy at every single encounter in all fairness to Curtis Axel.

Axel is awful. He has absolutely no attributes at all that makes him stand out. It wasn't that Punk refused to put him over, but rather that WWE had no faith in him from the start. If they wanted to make him a bigger deal they would have done so easily.

Anyway, I'm not sure what to make of this new pairing. Cesaro gets such good reactions now with the likes of the big swing and his uppercuts that'd it'd be a shame to see that taken away from it. It'd take Heyman some doing to keep Cesaro a face while remaining a heel himself.

No exactly, he just gradually got more and more popular as time went on, and WWE just kind of let it continue. Under Heyman though, he could very well get the most boos he's gotten since joining the company, which for me wouldn't be the right choice for him.

I might be a bit premature in this given it's only been a matter of weeks and not really had time to progress, but I'm really not feeling this partnership at the minute.

I hate the new shiny jacket Cesaro is wearing coupled with the 'King Of Swing' nickname, it all just comes off so tacky. While understandable, the main focus of Heyman's promo being on Brock breaking the streak is also grating on me.

Like I said though, this is just early thoughts and hopefully these issues will disappear shortly but I feel as though i've lost a a good bunch of interest in Cesaro already.
