The Miz Get's a Negative Reaction

People sometimes tend to think if you hate on a character that you are hating on a person, which is Blue. There is only one person I hate on, and that is Randy Orton. Otherwise, I am talking about on screen characters.

It's like if I were watching Seinfeld and I said I hated Kramer and you said "Come on now, he works really hard and is a talented actor!" :pity1:

obviously the Miz had to bust his ass to overcome the stigma of being a frat boy looking reality star who was a complete dork on the Real World. All the props in the world to the guy for getting where he is today. Doesn't mean I have to suddenly force myself to try and enjoy his lame ass on screen character because I like the dude that's playing it.

Not sure if aimed at me or not. I said what I said because R Albin sort of implied earlier that Miz hasn't really done anything special off-screen, but I would call his experience quite unique and inspiring personally.

It still has no impact on whether I like them on-screen. John Cena I respect, but I despise watching him on TV.

More at Stopspot than you. He seems to take it personal that people don't love the Miz

Whilst I agree, JR himself has said there are many wrestlers who turn up, watch the show backstage, collect their pay cheque and leave quite happily doing that. He said there are not enough wrestlers that work as hard or are as tough as they were in past eras.

If you look at the roster, it's quite hard to disagree with that. How many do you see barging into Vince's office demanding to be used? Miz I don't think would do that either, but he makes up for it by using his great promo skills in constant media appearances. I think he says he averages 3-4 hours of sleep.

Wow, I've never heard that before, can't believe J.R would actually say something negative about someone in an interview these days!

I don't think it's being too lazy but more not having the balls to, the majority of folk who did that know they could easily get fired on the spot. Miz has put in a hell of a lot of work to get where he is, but I don't think it is more than the majority of guys in the midcard upwards (excluding a couple, cough, Kingston, cough).

In what ways does he suck? You throw out accusations but do not provide facts?

Yes. Miz will never be a CM Punk or Daniel Bryan. But that is not his role to play. Miz character is a brawler and he does that well. His match with Dolph on Main event was really good as was his recent match with Heath Slater on Smackdown. Neither man needed to carry Miz in those matches. He's also extremely charismatic, otherwise he wouldn't be as over as he is. If you don't have charisma in some form, either verbal or in your ring work you won't get a crowd reaction and Miz gets some of the best reactions out of the people on the main roster. He also wouldn't be used for all the media work that he does, reportedly only Cena does more than him when it comes to media interviews.

You have a right to dislike someone I won't deny you your free speech. But to me a lot of the Miz hate seems completely unfounded. your seeming accusation that Miz got Maryse through the money he makes seems awfully vain as well.

I'm not presenting anything as a fact when I say that he sucks, that's my opinion, and as you go on to say I'm entitled to it. Literally the only thing he has done that has ever entertained me since I've started watching was his promos with Rock and let's be honest, he could carry me to a good promo (even though nobody would be able to understand me lol).

Miz's ring work is absolutely atrocious and the majority of his marks would agree with me on that. I wouldn't even describe Miz as a brawler, I have no idea what he is meant to be in the ring tbh. There is absolutely no way he could be described as a 'good brawler' though, his strikes are pathetic. As for his matches with Ziggler and Slater, Ziggler could make me look good in the ring, and well, I'm just gonna pretend I watched Slater/Miz :urm:

And are you seriously saying that if Miz got paid what the average American does that he'd be banging someone as famous as that? Of course not lol.

Lmao at first I thought you were being sarcastic, but then I realised :isee:. He's stupidly positive about everyone, it makes reading his opinions irrelevant and redundant.

Again, as I say, I'd admire that effort that all these guys make to get into WWE, but I don't really find it 'special' as such, although I'm probably bias when I say this.

Speaking of Cena, just me that loved his backstage promo on Raw? Marked for the Braden Walker reference

And yeah I know Crayo, shame as he's got such a great knowledge of wrestling, just a massive kiss ass.

Not so much not loving as much as seemingly hating for nothing. Most hate for the Miz I see seems unfounded or is in the vein of "He's ugly". You present logical and well founded reasons for not liking him, I respects everyone opinion if it is well founded otherwise I want some reasons for it.

I will be the first to admit that I am defensive of the Miz, partially because Miz was one of the people that got me into wrestling in the first place. Partially because I see a bit or even a lot of myself in the Miz/Mike Mizanin, the nerdy/geeky kid who got picked on and hazed constantly. That was me from age 6 to age 17. It becomes a feel good moment for me when I see people like that who succeed in life since it becomes a symbol that people like me can make it.

Thought it was awesome. I even said in the thread "his delivery sometimes is unmatched" or something, it was great.

Well, he looks like a frog, and acts like a reality TV Star douche. WWE is a place where fans can be pretty harsh. They don't need a reason to hate, as much as they need a reason to love.

I don't see the frog resemblance.

Can't blame them..

He over-did the Flair thing way too much imo.. A Woo was good, but strut walking, etc.. Was too much..

His lips kind of go outward. Plus the mo-hawk doesn't help either. Not sure if he still has it though.
