TJP vs. Josh Alexander vs. X-Division Ace Austin. Triple Threat, Rebellion 2021. Josh with an ankle-lock attempt on Ace early in the match. Josh with two straight German suplexes on Ace Austin but the third attempt is broken up Ace's corner-man Madman Fulton as he grabs Austin's hands. Josh holds on and executes a catch suplex but only gets a two-count. TJP does a Mamba splash on Josh but Madman pulls his legs out when he pins Josh. Josh pins Ace Austin with his Divine Intervention finisher and is the new X-Division Champion.

High-octane match but Josh tried his ankle-lock submission on Ace far too many times.

Fire n' Flava vs. Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering for Fire's Knockouts Tag team titles. Rebellion 2021. Fire n' Flava attempts a double-suplex on Jordynne but can't get her up so they nail her with a superkick instead. Tasha Steelz with a running European uppercut to Jordynne in the corner of the ring. When Rachael tags in, she hits Kiera Hogan with a forearm smash and then a spinning legdrop. Kiera tries a fisherman's suplex on Rachael but she blocks it. Rachael pins Kiera with a sit-down Powerbomb. Jordynne and Rachael are new Knockouts tag Champions. Fire n' Flava showed synchronized teamwork even though they lost.

James Storm vs. Ethan Carter III in a Strap match. Slammiversary XV. Storm with a spinebuster on EC 3 against the ring apron. EC 3 with a vicious clothesline to Storm outside the ring. Storm with a nice chain of moves: flying forearm, inverted atomic drop, and swinging neckbreaker. Storm handcuffs EC 3 to the turnbuckles and gives him 31 lashes with the strap before referee Brian Hebner mercifully unlocks the cuffs and frees Ethan. Storm was about to do a Last Call but unexpectedly collapses, which gave EC a chance to hit his one-percenter for the win.

Storm collapsing was reminiscent of Shawn Michaels unconsciously falling down against Owen Hart on Raw in 1995, even though Owen didn't lay a finger on him.

One of the best matches I've ever watched. With Bryan's eventual debut looming for AEW, there's no better time to rewatch this once again.

The North vs. LAX vs. Rascalz for The North's tag team titles. Slammiversary XVII. Dez and Wentz double team Santana with quick kicks but Dez accidentally enziguri's his own partner. Dez with a stunner on Wentz. Dez hits Ethan Page with a running European uppercut. Ethan Page bodyslams Wentz from the top turnbuckle onto a pile of wrestlers in the ring. Santana injures his leg and Konnan is demanding medics tend to his boy. In the melee, Josh comes from behind Ortiz, schoolboys him, has his foot on the ropes but only gets a two-count. How can the ref not see it?

Ethan wins it and The North retains their titles but it was a sloppy, three-way melee and the Rascalz shouldn't have been included in this match. Since The North defeated LAX for the titles by cheating, it should've been a rematch between North and LAX. There was no need for a triple-threat when the opening match at Slammiversary was a four-way.

I just finished watching Triple H vs Umaga from 2007. Great hard hitting street fight. Umaga had a massive year in 2007 killing it as a monster heel and putting on great matches whilst at it.

Rob Van Dam vs. Moose. Slammiversary XVII. RVD took too long with his signature moves: spinning heel, dropkick, and legdrop. When they were fighting outside the ring, Rob attempted a hurricanrana and Moose flipped himself over to make the move credible. Moose wears RVD down with a suplex and a front facelock. It took him over ten seconds to perch the top for the frog splash. Moose was gentle with his spear.

Moose was "selling" his moves to make him look good. Rob often times looked winded.
