The Greatest Movie...EVER! Final Round: The Godfather vs. Star Wars: A New Hope

The Godfather easily though A New Hope is the only good Star Wars movie; George Lucas just got stupider and stupider with his ideas after it.

In all honesty, even if I did see Star Wars, I'd still vote Godfather. It's my favorite movie.

And you know this how?

Anyway, I voted Godfather, but it was pretty close. I think most people voting for Star Wars also seem to be voting for just that "Star Wars" and not "A New Hope." Godfather as a single movie is better than A New Hope though I love them both.

Looks like I was the tie breaker and I went Godfather without question. I won't deny that Stars Wars had its impact but Godfathers impact spawned many other classic gangsta/mob films that came after it

Didn't star wars do the same for most of the sci fi that followed it? Neither were the first of the respective genre.
