I understand that, but the lines that humour crosses are subjective. Not everyone will feel the same way. Take the film The Aristocrats for example. That contains some of the vilest, most disgusting humour imaginable. My girlfriend and I watched recently and while she thought it was pretty fucked up, I thought it was hysterical.

In your example it is fairly clear who the perpetrator is and while due diligence requires that all avenues be explored it is still reasonably obvious whom is perpetrating the acts in your example.

I can only speak for myself in this case but this is how it works for me. Humour always offends someone. So either everything is fair game for lampooning or nothing is. In this case nobody is being hurt. The pictures in question are not real and any ill feelings derived from viewing the picture are solely the responsibility of the viewer. Using myself as an example, someone could post the exact same picture with myself and a family member and I will not rage or even become upset over the photoshop as it is just that, a doctored picture. It is not real and I know this. If something in that vein was to bother me I would be forced to view it objectively and ask myself why it is really bothering me. In both instances in several of the threads here I think that there are other factors in play with the two aggrieved parties that go beyond a simple photoshopped picture.

I maintain and adhere to those standards in their respective places. In this particular section there are no standards therefore I have no standards to live up to.

I guess it is too much to expect that any issues someone has with you would actually involve only you. The fact that someone goes out of their way to obtain pictures from other sites to doctor them and bring them here is testament to how sad their life must really be.

I have no problem with you monkeystyle, I believe that you are one of the smartest members on this site, and I respect the opinions you put out in other areas of this forum. It just seems to me that you would have higher standards of entertainment than what has been put forth here, and maybe if you took a stand on these things it would encourage others who have legitimate complaints with others to actually try and make their points by intelligent means instead of childish pictures. I hardly believe that if you had a dispute with someone you'd go out of your way to make an offensive picture and use it as the basis of your argument.

Any degree that you allow it to get under your skin is a point in their favor. i understand your anger, but knowing that making you angry is what the whole thing is about should be sufficient enough to help you reign in your temper.

Why don't you take this situation and use it as a thread topic in your section? That way it should be obvious on who can have an intelligent argument without resorting to pictures.

That is one possibility. There are several other perfectly reasonable explanations for why this occurs each as valid as the next, whether you accept those rationales is up to you.

It is not the picture itself that amuses me, though I will admit the LKP Last Supper picture did tickle me, but the results. I love watching peoples reactions to things. It really tells you quite a bit about the person.

And exactly how does that justify offensive pictures with a 2 year old? If he was a bad mod, say so. If he is a bad member, there is another fact in your favor. Why resort to irrelevant arguments when you have so much ammunition?
