It just takes time. I didn't think I'd ever reach a point where I'd be free from abuse. I was abused physically and emotionally as a child, emotional abuse continued into my teen years, met my ex in my teens and things kept going from there

Same here. I uhh, I didn't used to always live in America. I came here for 2nd grade but before than I was in the Philippines. I lived with three older cousins. Two of them sexually abused me but I was too young to understand that it was bad. Only when I moved to America and got proper education in sexuality that I realized what happened was wrong.
