Was thinking today about how few wrestlers are as good at Punk at working a match bit-by-bit to represent whatever feud their in. The Raven feud, Joe trilogy, Jimmy Rave cage match, Brent Alright strap match, Rey series, Cena stuff, etc. I couldn't really define this without a lot of rewatching, but he approaches matches inside a program basically how I'd hope every wrestler would but unfortunately don't. There's a difference between a random tv match he has, and a set tv match against whoever he's in a feud with, basically. Let alone The Big One like MITB vs. Cena or vs. Joe II and III. It's always been my favourite thing about him and after the Eddie Kingston match, which tbh I might say is the best match of Punk's career, it's only gotten better.
