I really hate when they give them as like sympathy awards for not giving them before. Denzel Washington's Oscar for Training Day comes to mind, as he easily should have won for either Malcolm X or The Hurricane instead.

Streep has won an Oscar though and they've had plenty of opportunities to give her another one, so doubt that is really a factor.

A Separation winning for Best Foreign-Lanuage film is no surprise, I have to watch that one.

Yeah, that's true, but for some reason I feel they may do it tonight anyhow. I'm pulling for Williams though.

I need to find a good copy of A Separation but it hasn't been easy.

Whoa! That was a bit of an upset. Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was not my pick at all, especially considering the same dudes won last year.

@ Booty Best in Show and A Might Wind are amazing.
