For some reason, the Internet intensifies division, it makes people polarized, and I couldn’t tell you why because I’ve also never had a bad interaction with someone in real life over politics. In fact, I rarely know anybody’s politics in real life. It’s a shame. Because we can more often than not find common ground over what divides us.I would be lying if I said I knew much about yours but ours is both fairly easy but also massively backlogged. and our enforcement is almost non existant. much like America, we need a gigantic overhaul.
you know, I also thought of something today. I suppose it does not apply to like the more extreme people. Like people in Texas with Chris sound intense. idk. But how come like irl I've met so many right leaning people but we get along and usually dislike the same things. rarely talk about controversial stuff. but if we met online we might hate each other. I feel like while maybe there is a lot of jerks out there...one on one a lot of people are also good and kind. Maybe misled. scared. wtv.
It sucks that hate and toxicity seems to be the fashion of the day, at least during this decade. I know it's been a hard day for me but I do genuinely hope we one day find a way out of this mess of a planet
I’m inclined to agree with you, but America already lets in more people than any other country. We can’t overburden ourselves.Immigration should be strict, but more streamlined tbh. Citizenship and work visas should be easier to get, and while there should be more border security, there should be hundreds more legal points of entry.
Fucking hell…It's why I scoff at people saying they don't want politics in their wrestling. WWE has inserted politics into their wrestling since Hogan. its just been right wing politics the entire time
remember QNXT under Hunter?
remember Retribution?
That's just some mild recent examples
I’ll toast to that.I think if you want young people to have babies you need to make life at home sustainable before you start bringing other people over to your house.
I don’t know why I’m catching strays when I’ve been for Kamala from the start, but for the record Roe was a goal for the religious right for four plus decades. It was always something they campaigned on.
While RBG herself, who was a proponent of abortion rights, said Roe was built on bad foundation. I didn’t personally think I’d see it fall in my lifetime, but it was always possible.
I’m not gonna say it’s impossible for a lot of these other things being predicted to happen, but the background to those are very different to Roe, which took these people almost 50 years to overturn, and was always built on very shaky precedent.
I don’t know how defeated Joe, Kamala and the Democrats of Congress are feeling right now, but I would be working my ass off to try to get some legislation enshrined in law about now.
I know California just enshrined gay marriage in the state constitution which is fabulous news.
well people need houses and not be renting. anecdotal - but why would we have kids if we cannot afford any home on two salaries? and with all the online infighting and grooming. like damn man. not really selling us
If I ever said that, that no one said that to you, I was probably only speaking about this board because I wouldn’t be able to speak about what you might experience in Texas or with your friends or with family. That’s the issue I think a lot of times with threads like these is, we can only speak for what’s going on here. I apologize if I ever gave you any other impression. Especially lately because I’ve been fairly low profile in politics.I didn't agree but the sentiment of me saying "people told me not to worry about Roe V Wade" and you acting like no one said that has frustrated me in the past. Again, I don't actually think YOU told me to worry about Roe V Wade, but you've confronted me as if no one said it to me before. When my point is, I've been told not to worry about "x" multiple times and lo and behold they happen. I'm going to stay worried about my friends regardless of how much you don't think I should
