You are correct indeed. That is Sally Hardesty from the first film, although it's a different actress playing her. The original actress Marilyn Burns passed away in 2014. The parts with her character getting revenge look good, it definitely does have a Halloween 2018 vibe to it.

Just got finished watching this. The reviews are pretty accurate, one of the weakest entries in the series. At the very least, it wasn't too long. The only positive I can truly give it is some of the Leatherface kills were cool, but I was not a big fan of the overall storyline and characters.
