They've dropped a couple of images today, so might as well throw this up.

I have absolutely no idea if this is a reboot or what. The storyline is so convoluted at this point with this series.

I legit only just found out about it on Reddit. I usually have Netflix, so I'll be cool if this is dropping on the platform. I'd def just download this or something if you don't for sure, as I have doubts it'll be good. I wouldn't go to a cinema to see any of these films anymore, they are too hit and miss. :lol Putting them on streaming is smart.

Yeah I let my Netflix lapse in like May and I doubt I ever get it back at this point tbh unless they add some wrestling to win me over like Peacock did :bosque

I wish they would. They are starting to collab at least, the Taker thing was cool and this Vince docuseries. So maybe.

Wikipedia:

Intended to be a direct sequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), disregarding all other films in the franchise, the project will be the ninth overall installment.

Is this just a weak attempt to go after Halloween's new success or? Whatever, I'm kind of a horror nerd so I'll force myself to watch it, but reboots/etc overall and this involving enough people who were responsible for that mess Don't Breathe make me pessimistic.

Really? I loved Don't Breathe, so that gives me hope if anything. :lol I enjoyed how the movie really did a lot of unique things, there's no character you really 'root' for. I was not a fan of the sequel much though.

To be fair, Texas been doing this longer than Halloween.

Most of their sequels ignore the previous ones.

I can’t think of a single third film in the series.

They did a direct sequel Texas Chainsaw 3D to the original and then the prequel film Leatherface after. I didn't like either very much, although seeing Alexandra Daddario was nice.

Unless this is on Shudder and done by Blumhouse...I have zero confidence this will be good, because Netflix horror stinks.
