Unfortunately, during the match for the NXT Tag Team Championship, Dexter Lumis suffered a cranial injury that will see him sidelined until 2022. The titles were swiftly vacated. On the same day, Jordan Devlin was let go.
Nia Jax continued to get paid for one-night deals until WWE could find a viable team for her and Shayna to drop the Women's Tag Team Championships to. However, they never found one, as a severe knee injury suffered during an NXT match forced her to retire.
In further vacancy news, Daniel Bryan announced a hiatus to combat burnout whilst still Intercontinental Champion.
