Ginger and her boyfriend were killed when the Terminator came to their apartment looking for Sarah not knowing she was not there at the moment. She was killed by the Terminator thinking she was Sarah after her boyfriend was killed and it did it from behind with a gun. He shot at her six times to ensure she was definitely dead.
