Super Bowl XLVII Discussion

Well after yesterday's games we now know who the two teams participating in this year's Super Bowl will be. We also know that for the next two weeks, we're going to hear the term "Harbowl" enough times to make each of us here physically ill. This year's matchup is between the Baltimore Ravens (LOL) and the San Francisco 49er's. One of these teams is really good while the other one has had the benefit of some amazing luck to get to where they are. The smart money is on the 49er's since they're clearly the better team, and Vegas thinks so as well, with the opening line putting them at a nice -5 spread.

Personally I have a hard time getting up for this game. I can't stand the Ravens in the slightest and I don't want the 49er's to win their sixth Super Bowl since it would tie them with the Steelers. I also can't stand either of the blowhard Harbaugh brothers, so its not like I can really root for a coach. I guess the best thing I can do is hope for a good game with some solid officiating (ha) and a close finish. Oh and perhaps a Beyonce wardrobe malfunction during the halftime show. :

Anyhow, keep all SB talk in here and hopefully we'll get a few people out for a LD on the night of the game as well.

Could not agree more with this post. I would of passed up on the SB entirely if I had to see the freaking Patriots in it again. 49ers all the way.

Since the only way I can win money at all is if I got with the long shot and everyone in front of me goes 9ers I am routing for the Ravens but I actually like the 9ers More. I like watching Karpernick play and would be nice to see Randy Moss finally get a ring and not in New England. Also I would find it hilarious that Brandon Jacobs would get another ring if they win. Love Brandon Jacobs.

Don't cheer for the Ravens, they employ murderers, their late owner was a known asshole who secretly moved the team to Cleveland right under the poor fans noses and to top it all off, their QB is a homo.

Oh and if that's not reason enough, they also employ Terrell Suggs, one of the all time biggest dickbag's in the history of the sport.

Man, I can't believe I missed this until now. Further reason to cheer against the Ravens....

While NFL officials are embracing the idea of a cold-weather Super Bowl in New York next year, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is firmly in the opposing camp.

"I think it's Blue," Flacco said at his Super Bowl news conference Monday, via the Denver Post. "I probably shouldn't say that. I think it's stupid. If you want a Super Bowl, put a retractable dome on your stadium. Then you can get one. Other than that, I don't really like the idea. I don't think people would react very well to it, or be glad to play anybody in that kind of weather."

What kind of a moron uses the word "Blue" in front of the National media in this day and age? Christ almighty, I knew Flacco was dense but this just takes the fucking cake. Oh and as for his comments about the weather, its a game that's often played in the cold, so what's the big fucking deal? Sounds like he's worried he'll get some snow in his vagina or something.
