Do you or anyone you know do strange things in their sleep? I don't mean dreams or snoring, I mean weird shit like sleep walking, talking, etc

One thing I often do lately is I'll start to fall asleep and I'll be literally 2 minutes from it, my brain has already clocked out for the day... but then suddenly for some reason the rest of me wants to wake back up and I'll sit up looking around the room utterly clueless of where I am or how I got there. I snap out of it after about 10 seconds when my brain boots back up, but it's a really weird feeling and I can always remember it afterwards.

Also when I'm staying up late and I start getting seriously tired but I'm forcing myself to stay awake, I guess I just start dreaming consciously because I'll say the most random shit that has nothing to do with anything. Once I started babbling to my wife about my 7th grade computer science teacher (who I haven't seen in over 10 years). I didn't realize what I was saying until she asked me, "Who is Dr. Scott?"

I hope I don't become Tyler Durden one day, because that's exactly what I think about every time I snap out of these little episodes. None of this happened to me until I was 24-25.

Sounds like fatigue. Get more sleep.

When I used to wake up at 5am every day for work, I used to only get to bed at like 1am every night. So I used to get weird stuff where I'd "wake up" 15 mins after falling asleep and I'd be completely paralyzed. I'd just be lying in bed, staring at the ceiling unable to move and thinking that somebody was in my room. It was freaking scary. (more about that here)

I don't know if this qualifies as sleep walking, but I usually take a mild dosage of sleeping pills to get to sleep, and my house is fairly big with a bunch of beds. I often find myself in a completely different bed than the one I went to sleep in.

It happened just 2 days ago. I was watching TV in the living room and slept off on the couch, and I have no idea how I got there but when I woke up I was in my bedroom, and I have no memory of getting back up to go inside. :S

:lmao I remember that! Let's not forget practically knocking me off of the bed! You invade the bed!

That sounds like sleep paralysis, Cerbs. Those experiences can really extremely scary and people will hallucinate things that they are really frightened of. It can happen when falling asleep or waking up weird. Most of the time this is when people experience what may think are Alien Abductions.

I can't think of much except I will talk in my sleep occasionally. I've shared a room with my brother for years though. He sleeps on the couch in my room and sometimes he will just sit straight up, barely open his eyes, look around a little bit, then literally like fall back. It used to be kinda freaky but I'm used to it now.

Sometimes when my iron is low, I'll pound my head against my pillow in my sleep. I've been known to throw things in my sleep as well.

Sometimes when I'm stressed out or really tired I fall asleep immediately when I get to bed which is really strange but that's not the freaky part. When this happens I "wake up" in like thirty minutes and here we go. I open my eyes, stand up, get some water, then get back to my room and I see myself sleeping. I get freaked out and actually wake up. Some weird shit. I haven't told anybody except my GF but I think I'll pay my doctor a visit.

I occasionally get spasms in my back when I sleep. I can really only sleep with my face buried in my pillow. My body also tends to jump from time to time.
