exactly. AEW can brag that their platform elevates everyone and they get jobs when they go on their shows and perform well. This is nothing but good news for talent and that who we should be supporting first.

Am I disappointed I will not get to watch her on the show I watch? Of course! But I also just got to see her and I'm grateful. Plus if it means WWE is continuing to put focus on in ring work, good.
Watching Heatwave, you can see the improvement in regards to ring work. AEW has a lot to do with it. Although, Hunter and NXT was always more involved on that front than Vince’s WWE was, but Shawn’s NXT is especially coming closer to AEW-style matches. I’m almost wondering if Shawn finally stopped with the “WWE-style” training or not.

I do think this might have played a factor and possibly why she isn’t honoring her dates. AEW did feature him recently and they’re all in cahoots so to speak.

Don’t think it was the sole reason, but certainly one of.

I think Vince leaving made things a lot less rigid, at the very least.

Now it's AEW's turn to adapt and get better too (they have fwiw, it's just less evident because they didnt have an awful booker for a decade)

Rising tide and all, even if it doesn't always help others when WWE is on top,, still helps. It took around 4 ish years for WWE to stop fucking around and "stole" a lot of things AEW did right that ppl liked (like ring work). Now AEW can't rest on the laurels of being different, which is good long term because they have the opportunity to carve out their own identity that's more than "better wwe"

yeah I mean, it certainly did not help AEW's case, and Tony can't really fire Rush over it either and he's been a loyal guy for the company who is internally liked. sometimes these things happen

i think they still train the college people in a uniform way, most of the gymnasts wrestle the same at first, track people different, amateur wrestlers also different, but once they either get it or if anyone comes in already experienced, you just work your style. They don't lay out major matches in a set style, just some TV ones might be formulaic

what I am saying here just to clarify, is while I do not agree with Rush's stance (tho i get the whole imprisoned without a trial thing) - I think it would be a very bad look for the boys in the back to fire someone over that that works hard and has never made waves outside the company, for something happening not even in the same country. Shitty situation but you can't fire a guy over that because you want a new toy

I will say this though (a negative):

Both Giulia and Steph not putting ppl over on the way out is not the best look for them, that shit won't fucking fly in the big leagues - and they can pretty much say goodbye to ever working for NJPW ever again sadly

edit: fwiw we do not know 100% with Steph, but Giulia def refused to job on the way out

Technically she did put Sasha over. Just in AEW.

But yeah. Not good.

yeah with Steph could be more to it (and i will admit theres not a huge talent pool in njpw and cmll for women) - but the more i think about it, the more it feels like they didnt wanna put aew adjacent talent over before going to wwe and THAT is petty as fuck if true lol

I give it 5 seconds until she's in LDF
They'll end up giving her her own LDF with Raquel Rodriguez and Lola Vice
