The Wrestling Observer is reporting that retired UFC star, Stephan Bonnar, is interested in becoming a pro wrestling. However, the story also claims that he's primarily interested in working for WWE, not pro wrestling in general. Bonnar is 36.
I'm kinda burned out on MMA fighters trying to show up in wrestling.

He'd be a good commentator, nothing more.

Someone should just start a FAKE MMA company and keep these guys away from people that have trained to be pro-wrestlers their entire lives.

LOL what's wrong with people thinking about a career after their sports career is over? Look at Japan you nerds, they have crossovers all the time. And this stupid bias against people over 30 even thinking about getting in the business is Blue. over 30 is prime, Steve Austin said it himself, although he said it was 40. Learn some bumps and thats it. If you show charisma thats all you need.

But, Bonnar was fun to watch fight. Wasn't fun to watch talk imo. MMA promos are pretty vanilla, when you compare it to pro-wrestling.

So you hate when WWE gets girls without athletic background now hate when they get guys with athletic background. Would not MMA be the best place to get WWE stars from. A MMA guy with good mic skills has the foundation for a great star

MMA guys would be alright if they learn how to bump, which isn't that easy to learn. Rather have football players tbh, atleast they are already accustomed to a grind like pro-wrestling. Combat sports are taught to hurt the other guy, and avoiding getting hurt.

Anyways, Bonnar is nobody to anyone in WWE, seriously doubt Triple H knows who he is danm sure Vince doesn't have a clue as to who he is.

I think more and more Pro Wrestling will go down this road and I see more misses than hits. I say just train good Pro Wrestlers and have the odd MMA guy if he truly has something to offer rather than do it because its becoming fashionable.

But WWE has gotten some great stars from MMA it's been successful in the past. It's really the only sport that it has been successful in. Which bad MMA signing do you guys base this apprehension on. Can't really mention tna everything they do is bad now

No I would say in the past that Football (the American kind) has been a better source for good wrestlers than MMA. I know TNA fucking up makes their guys different, but I just think if you have too many then more will fail than succeed.

Shamrock. Blackman (had an MMA feel about him) Lesnar (you could count if you wanting to be a douche)

Really think that's about it.

Could make a case for Severn though I didn't enjoy his WWF run. I completely forgot about them though because I was just thinking recent history with MMA being so much more popular than it was back then.

Very true. They have brock ( I don't really count them as he was made by them) I don't see the need for them to get MMA guys
