Most likely, it's still only 3 weeks since release so it could easily stay in some cinemas for another month or two.

Are you kidding? Movies like these stay in theatres much longer. I'm pretty sure Furious 7 was in theatres for like 6 months.

Different country though. Take my local for example, it'll keep Star Wars going for as long as possible, but with only 4 screens, it can only show a limited number of films. The number of times it's shown per day falls week by week, judging by the current amount I'd give it a month.

Sure, there are bigger cinemas around, but even they will have the same problem on a larger scale.

They do the same here as well. The screens keep dropping as the weeks go along but it can in a theater a long time though.

With the top domestic gross of all-time now out of the way, the story turns to whether or not The Force Awakens will have enough legs to make the $1.2 billion more that it needs to overtake Avatar for top worldwide gross. I think we'll see what legs it's going to have in the US after this weekend, while the China opening tomorrow should give us an indication of how the international market is going to go.

At this point I'm honestly not sure it's going to beat Avatar, unless it somehow demolishes the record books in China. The top US movie of all-time over there is currently Furious 7, which brought in 2.427 billion Yuan, which is just a bit under $368 million US. If The Force Awakens manages the same amount, that still wouldn't be enough to come close to Avatar.

It's already made 1.5 billion in 3 weeks and still going strong. It just needs to keep it up.
Funny the markets. The international market isn't giving star wars much love while the USA is eating it up and it was vice versa for Furious 7.

Now up to 1.7 billion world wide after 55 million in china in two days and another 48 million in the US and Canada. It is now at 804 million in North America alone.

FINALLY got my second viewing in today.

A lot more interested in the dark side dynamic now than before. The struggle for favouritism between Ren & Hux, the currently tapped potential of Ren, the exact intentions of Snoke. And when the "Darth" names start coming in, since I'm guessing Ren doesn't get his until he's fully trained?

Well Darths are Sith and The Knights of Ren are a different thing all together but if Snoke does indeed turn out to be Darth Siddeous then I imagine they could morph into the Sith

I have no clue about this "Knights Of Ren" stuff, I assume that's from the novels?

No, the Knights of Ren were first mentioned in The Force Awakens. I believe there may be a little more backstory about them in the novelization of the movie, but they've never been mentioned in any prior Star Wars canon.

I would assume so. I like the Knights of Ren idea better anyways, at least there can be more than two of them.
