*SPOILERS* TNA Impact Wrestling Tapings for 4/4/13

A contract signing with Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez kicks off the show. Their April 11th match ends up being 2 of 3 Falls and if Hernandez & Guerrero lose, they have to break up their team.

* Adam Pearce defeated Magno in a Gut Check match.

* Tara and Gail Kim beat Velvet Sky and Taryn Terrell. Joey Ryan was the referee. Tara hit him with a low blow after the match.

* Aces & 8s try to get AJ Styles to join them. D-Lo Brown gets a notice from the office saying he's fired. Kurt Angle interrupts with Magnus, Samoa Joe, Joseph Park and Eric Young.

* Hulk Hogan comes out and calls AJ to the ring. AJ came out with the Aces & 8s vest he was offered earlier. Hogan tries to talk AJ into helping TNA. James Storm interrupts and has words with AJ. Hogan makes Storm vs. Styles for the April 11th show.

* Petey Williams beat Sonjay Dutt and Mason Andrews to become the new X Division #1 contender.

* Devon, Doc, Knux, Wes Brisco and Garett Bischoff beat Kurt Angle, Magnus, Samoa Joe, Eric Young and Joseph Park in the main event.

* Bully Ray came out and talked about his Full Metal Mayhem match against Jeff Hardy on April 11th. Bully calls out Brooke Hogan and insults her. Bully gives her front row tickets to next week's Impact. She ends up slapping him and out comes Jeff Hardy. They brawl and a ladder and table is brought into the fight. They brawl some more and Hardy puts Bully through the table to end it.

Ehhh, if I remember I might try and watch just the segments as i'm not interested in any of the matches.

Also, I thought all X-Division matches were triple threat now, so how can a guy become #1 contender?

Perhaps title defenses can be singles matches but any other kind of X-Division map has to be triple threat?

1) Three guys fight for the title. One takes the fall
2) That guy is out, the other two are still in.
3) A #1 contender is determined to get the third spot

So
1) King, Ion, Dutt happened. Dutt took the pin
2) Dutt is out
3) Petey is in
4) King vs Ion vs Petey will happen.

I get to see him this month so I'm rapt about that.

Not a bad show, Magno was in NWA for those who didn't know and has appeared in ROH/CHIKARA too.

Magno appeared in TNA before as part of the World X Cup years ago. Will have to check it out to see how both guys go and see what the crowd reactions are like for them.

Please have Hernandez and Chavo lose that tag team match next week.

I don't understand the X Division anymore either with someone becoming the number one contender yet end up being one of two contenders.

Also why the hell would you give away AJ Styles returning to the ring away for free on tv? Surely you save that for one of your four PPVs because it is a big moment. Hopefully it is a swerve and the match doesn't happen on April 11th

Reading all this, is the April 11th a huge anniversary or special show? Three big matches announced for it yet it seems like it is just a regular Impact.

Only caught bits and pieces of this show tonight.

Magno and Pearce was pretty poor, Magno botched so many moves it was ugly to watch. The guy is just too big to perform the moves he tries to perform. Actually both guys were a bit out of shape, you can see why Pearce wears the high waisted shorts. Bit disappointing that with a chance like this they aren't in top physical shape.

Hogan's promo to AJ was humourous for it's repetitiveness. Remember he doesn't just want AJ Styles back he wants DANGEROUS AJ Styles back.

X-Division match was unfortunately nothing but a spotfest. Bit ugly to watch as you could see them setting up the moves in advance and then just waiting for the third guy to run in and hit it.
