Hornets get some help for their bench as they trade Bobby Jackson to Houston for Bonzi Wells and Mike James.

The trade is pending league approval so its not a done deal as of yet.

If it does happen, this is a very good trade for the Hornets... As for Houston, WTF? Bonzi's been giving you good minutes and you trade him for a guy that gets hurt every week and a half?

Its official, Bonzi is now a Hornet. The Rockets also got Gerald Green from Minnesota in exchange for Kirk Snyder. There's also a couple of possible deals on the horizon.

Sources say that the big trade Cleveland is pursuing, as our good friend Brian Windhorst warned us about in his Akron Beacon Journal blog, is a multi-player exchange that would bring Ben Wallace to the Cavs.

We have not been apprised that any deal is close or received a reliable read on the Bulls' level of interest, but we have been assured that it is being discussed: Wallace and teammates Chris Duhon and Joe Smith heading to Cleveland in exchange for a package headlined by Drew Gooden ... and Larry Hughes.

The trade hasn't happened because Chicago doesn't want Hughes and his big-ass contract. Cleveland might change the deal to exclude Hughes by adding a couple of different players.

Cleveland is also looking to trade for Wally Szczerbiak in hopes of adding some more shooting to their line-up.

Cavs get Wallace from Bulls, Szczerbiak from Sonics

Sources: Cavs get Wallace from Bulls, Szczerbiak from Sonics
By Marc Stein
ESPN.com

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have beaten the NBA's annual trade buzzer to get LeBron James some of the fresh help he's been openly craving.

In a three-way, 11-player trade with Chicago and Seattle that has been submitted for league approval, NBA front-office sources say that Cleveland will come away with four new teammates for James, headlined by Ben Wallace from the Bulls and sharpshooter Wally Szczerbiak from the Sonics.

The league office was notified of the deal before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trading deadline, sources said, and is currently reviewing the trade details as required for formal approval.

After Cleveland watched two longstanding trade targets land elsewhere -- Mike Bibby in Atlanta and Jason Kidd in Dallas -- sources say that the deal calls for the Cavaliers to receive Wallace, Szczerbiak, Seattle point guard Delonte West, Chicago's Joe Smith and a future second-round pick from the Bulls.

The Bulls, apparently abandoning their gamble on Wallace less than two seasons into the lucrative four-year deal they used to sign him away from Detroit, would get Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden and swingman Larry Hughes along with Cavs reserves Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown.

The Sonics, shedding Szczerbiak in the name of additional payroll flexibility, come away with the expiring contracts of Cleveland's Ira Newble and Chicago's Adrian Griffin as well as Cavs veteran Donyell Marshall.

big ben wallace will be great on the cavs but they gave up a lot... idk much about Szczerbiak but i hear hes good... but seriously this is a huge trade for the cavs... it will either make or break the season...

Damn you Bulls! Just lose the rest of your games this year, and then draft Michael Beasley in the fall. Best solution for winning in the future imo.

wally is good when he's healthy, gives them a better scoring threat over hughes. Big Z has been racking up the minutes this year and now they can afford to rest him a little more each game. good trade for all teams involved.

lol @ Kobe and the pain his pinky is in. This is going to be a sad six weeks[/sarcasm]

*Making fun of Peepshow for thinking Kobe was actually hurt*

Kobe had about 4 dunks yesterday, all of which used the "injured" hand, and he clearly showed no pain.

Well, they were playing the Wizards >.>

The media is pissing me off. After one win, They're fucking crowning the Suns as NBA champions. Did they not have their ass handed to them at home by the Lakers, who has won 9 or the last 10.

Its a conspiracy against Kobe imo
