The news is that Snooki will be the guest host for RAW next week.

Pathetic by WWE to stoop to this level getting a D-Grade (if that) celebrity to host their flagship show leading up to the biggest show of the year. Why are these people famous and why do they have to infiltrate everything on television?

this is a TNA move

Actually this why I think they got her, something along the lines of a TNA jab for the Sting vignette. sort of saying "loltna you get table scraps and we can book the main stars of Jersey Whores."

Don't think this girl is very PG tho.

Angelina came to TNA. WWE probably made a move towards that by bringing Snooki.

I don't know why WWE is making a move against TNA right now. I always loved the fact that WWE could ignore any outside influence pretty well (or at least pretend to), and just do what it does. But, here we are with WWE falling into the whole wrestling competition politics, as Snooki comes in to the next RAW.

I don't think WWE is making any moves towards TNA, but more of just a little jab at them and rub their nose in it, much like when they advertised TNA shows on their website a few years ago. Another "loltna we give you free advertisement and you still can't draw flies".

It's either that, or it was just a suggestion that Vince liked. Doubt Vince even knows who the Jersey Shore people are.

This is pretty lame and I really don't care for it. But Raw has picked up the past few weeks ( Raw last night was awesome) so I wouldn't downgrade the show yet. Just never been crazy about the annoying Snooki.

Also like to point out that these Jersey Shore people, like it or not are at the zenith of pop culture right now, not saying it's going to last, but right now. They are hot, and will bring attention to WWE and better, Wrestlemania. Which in turn will garner more interest in the big PPV. Not like it was the first questionable celebrity to host Raw, I was actually hopeful this guest host shit was done, but I guess if it's used sparingly it could be alright.

Although I, and I definitely hope Vince doesn't see TNA as a threat, I can only see this happening to counter TNA. Love them or hate them, people on the Jersey Shore Television Show are a draw, without a doubt. I'm sure we'll see her in stupid backstage promos and someone trying to pick her up or something. I'm sure she won't play any big roles next week so I wouldn't worry about her.

Zach Ryder has to be involved in some way with her on RAW next week. Might give Ryder the push that he needs and deserves.

I didn't actually realise how popular this show was. I just looked at the ratings and Season 1 averaged 2.7 million viewers, Season 2 averaged 5.252 million viewers and Season 3 is averaging over 8.5 million viewers which is massive especially since it is on MTV. Now I can see why WWE and TNA were reaching out to get them on their shows, they will draw in some more viewers even if I can't understand why they are popular to begin with.

LOL I can't believe this is a reality show and that is a real person and not a character.

I doubt this is a real life portrayal of this women, since it's MTV and their version of "reality" is about as real as Pro-Wrestling angles. I think it's a character straight out of central casting.

You asked why they are so popular? I can't tell you, but I guess it's the same reason why people gather around car wrecks.
