Episode 002

- For the second week in a row Friday Night Firefight would be hosted within the Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Pat McAfee would welcome all the viewers back to the second episode of this new era of the American Wrestling Association and that tonight the first half of the bracket for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament would take place this evening with the fans being treated to four stellar matches, with the evening’s scheduled main-event between Pete Dunne and Finn Balor certainly a match that he felt would be enough of a reason for viewers to stick around and the watch the entire episode.

Finish: L.A. Park would show he was still able to tangle with the world's best even at his age and would really make Sami work for his dinner. Zayn would bring the match to a finish when he connected with the Helluva Kick, before going for the cover - which Park would react a second to late with Zayn advancing to the next round.

- Immediately after the match, Sami Zayn would be interviewed backstage by Lexy Nair. Zayn would make it clear that nothing was going to stop him in his pursuit to winning the world title and that now that he was part of the American Wrestling Association there was no chance that any of the conspirators who were working against him was going to stop him from achieving his goal.

Finish: Angel & Humberto would open their AWA accounts in an impressive manner, by claiming a win over two established names in Aries and Hero - with the match ending with Angel nailing Hero with a Springboard Moonsault to claim the victory.

- Nikki Cross would feature in a promo where she would make it clear that the time for stupid costumes and stupid gimmicks was over and that now that she had found herself a new place of work and got to remain in America instead of being forced to return to Scotland she was ready and rabid for a fight and that ever since she had signed with the AWA she had been aching for a chance to tear some poor soul apart and that it didn’t matter who they were because once she was finished with them they would be faceless.

- Ahead of his match with Bryan Danielson, Austin Theory would cut a promo in the ring. Theory would make it clear that he was confident of his abilities and that sooner or later, the old guard had to make way for the hotter, faster and younger models straight off the line and he couldn’t wait to prove to the world that he was capable of winning big matches against big time opponents and that Bryan Danielson was a perfect person to prove himself to everyone present at ‘The Roy’ and those watching at home.

Finish: Theory and Danielson would have a great contest, with Theory pushing Danielson right to his limit in a truly sensational contest with the match ending when Bryan would hit Austin with the Bridging Dragon Suplex to win the contest and advance to the next round.

- With both men back up on their feet, there would be a brief moment where men would stare each other down before both men would shake hands and share a moment before Theory would exit the ring and allow Bryan to savor his hard fought victory over one of the hottest young prospects in AWA.

Finish: Drew McIntyre would face a unique test in Puma King, with the Mexican offering him a raw luchador style that he was often accustomed to that would make for an original contest that the fans clearly enjoyed with Drew ending the match with a perfectly placed Claymore Kick that would send the Minnesota fans into rapture with his advancement to the next round. Puma King on the other hand, look incredibly annoyed by the loss and would flip over various fans on his way to the back.

- WALTER would cut a promo ahead of his scheduled fight with Damian Priest next week at the 3M Arena at Mariucci with the AWA next week leaving St. Pauls and traveling to Minneapolis. WALTER would make it clear that Priest had an entire week to prepare himself and toughen himself up because he was going to take one hell of a beating, because as a man he never did anything in half measures and never went easy on anyone that crossed his path. WALTER brought a certain level of passion into the promotion, with it being clear that every part of his being was driving him forward with clear aspiration in the title tournament.

Finish: Asuka would make her AWA debut in an impressive fashion, as she would remind the entire world why she had often been considered as the highest echelon in women’s wrestling by claiming a fairly decisive victory over Amale.

- The HURT Business would feature in a segment backstage in which MVP would make it clear that next week his two boys Apollo and Cedric were going to teach The New Day a lesson in respect, with MVP making it clear that he had personally requested it following a meeting with Adam Pearce that Crews and Alexander get a chance to show Kingston and Woods some respect with the two teams set to do battle next week at the 3M Arena.

- MVP would make it clear though, that he was personally frustrated that he hadn’t made the 16-man shortlist but that he personally could wait to see Big E fail at the first hurdle and that he would be joining the commentary team at ringside so he could personal shake shakes with Ilja Druganov and congratulate him on his victory next week.

Finish: In a match which a lot of people had been looking forward to seeing and was a direct rematch of an excellent match between the two at WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance last year. However, this time round Balor would fight with a clear intention of hurting Dunne and would target his ankle with a clear intention of injuring Dunne and would go as far as bending the rules to cause as much pain as possible to Dunne. Balor would crash down onto Dunne’s right ankle with a Diving Double Foot Stomp. Balor would then proceed to stomp down on the ankle repeatedly, until Dunne would verbally give up with the referee forcing Finn off Dunne to end the contest.

- Balor would exit the ring and shout into a ringside camera that he was willing to do everything it took to win the world title and that nothing was off the table and that whoever was next was going to have to worry about more than sprained ankle.​

I haven't got it all figured out like you guys experienced with this stuff, but she's been helping me get my Destination X card going, and I think I got a good card mapped out. Smark has been amazing too letting me use his talent and craft a good main event scene. Very excited for it to all keep playing out.
