Skip posted this on his Twitter yesterday.

"First and last update here since so many of you have been kind to ask. Things have been extremely complicated with the injury and it was... Much more than just a broken ankle and leg. It has been the most positive experience of my life and I promise you I will return very soon.... Bigger and badder than anything you have ever seen. Nobody is going to stop me from achieving what I have set out to do."

Where do you see Skip fitting into the mix when he returns?

There have been reports in the past that Vince saw him as a potential #2 face behind Cena. Right now Raw could use another face, so is that the role you see him fitting in?

How does he fit in with the Nexus and Corre seemingly going through their issues now?

Maybe Skip Sheffield is going to compete against Mason Ryan for the Nexus spot, or something of that sense (not necessarily).

I see Skip coming back into the Nexus, maybe serving as a push for the Nexus itself.

I would rather see him re-joining the his old Nexus members in the Corre, aside from Otunga the Corre is the OG Nexus and have go against Big Zeke since he took his place as the muscle.

I think it would be better for him to stay as far away as possible from The Corre and Nexus since both groups have been booked so poorly in recent months.

Skip Sheffield vs Ezekiel Jackson in a singles feud is a good idea and works well if they are bringing Skip back as a face. Would be a good feud for both guys, Ezekiel needs a feud to establish himself as a singles heel but he needs something away from The Corre. Skip needs a strong initial feud and I think that would be a good match. If he comes back on RAW maybe he could work something against Punk.

I am not the biggest Skip Sheffield fan at all, but you would have to be blind if you said he hasn't made an impact. I just think Skip needs to change his name, that name just doesn't go well at all. I would like him to become a monster heel because then he can act like someone abnormal. The guy doesn't look very normal and for him to go face would be pretty brutal. I just don't see how people can be so high on this guy when I don't recall him being in a single match other than NXT.

For me, BRMP, even though he's unproven in the ring it's everything else he had. Other than Daniel Bryan in that first NXT season, Skip was one of the most 'over' guys in terms of what he did because he OOZED charisma better than any big man I've seen, even Mason Ryan. His mic work was solid for a complete rookie and his facials, ring psychology and general 'look' was superb. One of the only images that remains in my head from the first Nexus run is Skip getting ready to plant his clothesline on the beaten down guys because it looked brutal.

Yeah I would agree. That look he had on his face before he delivered his monstrous clotheslines is something burned in my head as well.

That being said, I'm not so sure I can really buy him as a monster heel because of that stupid gimmick he had back in NXT. He just looks like he should be saying "Aw shucks" all the time.

While he was full of charisma back in the show, and has the potential there for stardom, a tweaking of the character is probably needed first.

Absolutely, they need to erase that gimmick from our memories and never tread over it again but even looking at the simple attire and look he sported when he was with the Nexus. Trunks and an armband was all he had and he made up the rest with his facial expressions and powerhouse style. They need to keep things simple and either book him against Punk and his Nexus and let Punk put him over down the line to go super face or take the more obvious option and bring him in as a heel powerhouse as Mason Ryan and big Zeke seem to have the pseudo-face, leaving their respective heel groups, thing going on right now.

When he was part of Nexus he seemed to have moved on from that gimmick and was used more as just muscle for the group. A normal gimmick, that isn't too over the top, would be good. Just keep it simple with him and bring him back as someone looking for redemption after suffering an injury.
