Yeah a better definition of a spot monkey would be someone like Teddy Hart or Jack Evans. They pull off some incredible moves... but for what? It doesn't help the match, doesn't flow with the match, or anything. AJ Styles used to be a spot monkey in early TNA but he toned his style down a lot and now he has a better understanding of when to bust those moves out.

Sin Cara is hardly what would be considered a spot monkey.

Great post I agree with every word!

I am not getting into another DB debate, but in short the guy is world class, and is acutally very good on the mic, watch him in ROH and the feud with Cole from last year.

It is way too early to judge Sin Cara, I see something in him, but it needs time to progress, give him time! Maybe his character is a bit too gimmicky, but lets see where it takes him.

It's a bit to early to judge him if you consider him just any other person that entered the WWE. But with all the hype he had surrounding him it was overblown. Much like WWE did with Carlito all those promos for someone that was pretty meh in the ring.

I don't know I guess I see your point, but I just think that having a young wrestler who has never wrestled this style before, then you do need to give him time, it is not his fault he has been hyped up this much, and by all accounts he has not been doing that badly, also it is one thing to call someone overated and another to call them boring or crap, I think people have gone way over board here.

I don't get your point, the guy was hyped sure, but you expect him to adapt to a totally different style from day one is totally insane. Carlito was different because Puerto Rico has been using the WWE style for years.

His merchandise is selling well as he's getting accustomed to the WWE style. He's still fairly over with the fans despite a few botched entrances and moves. Sounds to me like they were smart for hyping him.

I think he kinda had to hyped coming in it was a huge signing to the Lucha Community. Has he botched a fair amount of moves? Yes, he has. Has he been that impressive? Very debatable, but if he can adapt to the style he could be a big deal in a year or two, they just can't push him up the card to soon. People complain all the time about guys not getting out of the mid card but for him I think he needs to be there for a while.

The problem, if you could call it that, for Sin Cara is that Smackdown is so short on top faces he has already become the number two or three face on the brand behind Orton so the pressure is really on him. Preferably he wouldn't have all that responsibility right away, Mysterio remained in the crusierweight division for a couple of years in WWE before he moved up the card and he had already learnt to work the US style. Given time he will be huge.

I'm assuming we'll see Bourne-Cara next week to make up for their omitted error this past week.

It is RAW Roulette so they might add a stipulation to the match. Ladder match?

Would most likely have a ladder amtch as a teaser for the PPV.
