I'm not trying to just a post a random pointless thread like some people do on the board. I'm looking at people's actual thoughts for Samoa Joe because I'm becoming a huge mark for him. I'm on and off with TNA a lot because of the awful booking led by the assholes that run the company and a few other head scratching things but I still tend to watch here and there. I'm really get into it now recently even though my favorite Samoa Joe hasn't done much lately. I think we can all agree that Joe is a pretty awesome worker and can do things that big men can dream about. Other than Undertaker and Brock Lesnar, I don't think anyone has seen a huge athletic talent like Samoa Joe. I think he's more athletic than Kane just my opinion. Joe is in an awkward position after losing the tag titles and has falled off a bit. I still think he can bring so much to the table even though if he jumped to WWE, I would be all for it (it has to be in 2013 though, he can't do it now their isn't any room). Since I know most of you are intelligent posters, I'm just wondering what is you're actual opinion on Joe now after so many epic feuds and matches he had. We all know that Aires, Roode, and Storm are the main franchise guys that are still in their prime which is great but why can't Joe be there? Angle will always be there along with Hardy who deserves the top spot. I know people rave about Bully Ray and I think he's very entertaining, but actual main event and champion (sorry not a fan). The same goes for Anderson who isn't even entertaining, he's actually awful. I'm not going to go on a tangent though, I'm just wondering what is the common feeling about Samoa Joe these days because I've been watching some of his past work that I've missed and "WOW". That Ole Kick made me one of the coolest things I've ever seen for a man his size.

When Joe first came in they gave him pretty much the best build that they've given anyone. He just went out there and destroyed people and put on a ton of solid matches. Then he won the title and everything went to shit for him after that especially after he lost it. His booking has just been all over the place and he's just lost in the shuffle now.

With that I still like him, matches are still good when he gets the chance and I don't buy into the he got fat and he's no good anymore argument. So really it comes down to whether or not TNA wants/can book him right. Don't think he could do anything in the WWE so his best bet would be to stay in TNA or head back to ROH and the indies.

If they just have him go out there and kill guys he has a chance to get built back up. The world title scene is the best place for him right now, but reestablishing in the X DIV again would be a great way to get him some good momentum again. I know a lot of people would love to see a Aries/Joe feud for the X Title.

they booked him into an unofficial purgatory that he will never recover from.he will never be anything more than he currently is.he coulda been a hall of fame talent but sadly his best days are behind him even though hes relatively young.

Samoa Joe is a frustrating case. TNA booked him perfectly when he debuted, he was a killing machine and TNA presented it that he could beat anyone. He had a simple but effective gimmick as an ass kicker, he was over with the crowd and he wrestled many fantastic matches. He went okay for a few years but oddly it was after he won the TNA World title that everything started to go wrong for him. He was booked in random feuds and they tried to alter his gimmick and that failed completely. Putting that ridiculous penis tattoo on his face was the final straw, the gimmick did not work and wasn't needed because there was no reason to change from the ass kicking wrestling machine that he was.

The tag team title reign was a nice way to make him relevant again and actually get him on television each week but TNA need to build on that momentum now that he isn't tag team champion anymore. I would like to see him work his way back up the card again as a singles wrestler but I don't know if TNA have the faith in him. For me what I would do would be to give him the Television title right away. Now that may not seem like much but it would be a good way to make him and the title relevant again. Look at the situation now with the title, it is supposedly meant to be defended on tv each week yet this week it is in a dark match. Samoa Joe will be able to show off his skills each week defending the title and he can rack up an impressive win streak as champion. From there move him closer and closer to the mainevent scene again. Similar to what they have done with Austin Aries, he is still the X-Division champion but he regularly features in Impact mainevents and is a lot further up the card than previous X-Division champions.

As for Joe in WWE I think that it couldn't hurt Joe to take a shot there, I mean they can't book him worse than TNA have over the past few years can they? It wouldn't hurt WWE either as they get a talented wrestler, a known name (by a portion of the audience) and they need more stars now since this roster is one of the weakest they have had in some time since there is barely any midcard on either show. At worst he would probably get a midcard title reign.

When I think of Joe now I can't help but think of Punk and Bryan and how previously Joe said that they made bad decisions signing with WWE. They have been World/WWE champions, mainevent PPVs and they wrestle in front of tens of thousands of fans and Joe has been a one time TNA world champion and hasn't done anything of note the past few years.

Would love to see Joe as TV champ, great idea there Troy.

His ROH work for fantastic and he went to TNA HOT! They did really well with him in the X Division and owning people and I liked the Angle feud over the belt plenty. Agree that Nation of Violence lead to the freefall and he still is trying to get back up. TV Title would be a very good start.

He's being underused in my personal opinion. He has proved he is very worthy of a main event push, but they have decided to stick him in the tag team area. I don't mind it, as long as he's putting on good matches. But damn, his feud with Angle was beastly!
