Sami Callihan signed to WWE?

SAMI CALLIHAN, UPDATE.

Sami Callihan was supposed to work the Strong Style Tournament coming up on May 24th. But with Callihan signing with the WWE or close to signing, he is no longer being booked for the tournament.

"Since the contract with WWE was decided, I will miss the tournament" said Callihan.

It seems like WWE is going to sing another hell of a talent from the independent scene. In my opinion things will be definitely clear on June, 15th at the end of the PWG event called "Is Your Body Ready?" in which we'll see Adam Cole vs. Sami Callihan in the main event.

This will be fucking awesome if he is signed to WWE!

Saw a lot of people saying they're reserving judgment on his signing because the E thinks Cesaro is "boring"... but they love Moxley. Made me think, you can scrap the idea of throwing Hero in The SHIELD... use Sami there and let Hero & Cesaro team up again.

Just looked him up on image search and Youtube, he has a good 'look', better than any of the recent regular joe indy signings they've made, but he does look out of shape and is under 6ft.

His promos aren't bad. Think his gravelly Macho Man voice helps him a lot though.

He's still a talented wrestler though, and should be a good addition to WWE.

Congrats to him, pretty sure he's been in talks for some time. I have seen the guy here and there and he's a good worker but I'm not that much of a fan, he just doesn't appeal to me. Idk. Just his look. Needs a complete make over.

The Dragon Gate USA indy promotion has sent out a news alert through WWNLive that confirms that WWE has indeed finally signed Sami Callihan to a deal:
"We can now announce that Sami Callihan has already wrestled on his final DGUSA/Evolve event."

"We want to extend a heartfelt 'thank you' to Sami for being an important part of DGUSA/Evolve history. Calihan started at the bottom of (the) card and through hard work and determination became a main player in the WWNLive family."

So it is official now. Another highly rated indy guy off to developmental. They have picked up the pace with their signings lately must have something to do with that new developmental centre they are setting up near Full Sail University (where they tape NXT).

Not a fan of the guy's current "screamo" look whatsoever, but I'm sure WWE will repackage him.

Only other problem I see with him is his size. WWE is already flooded with under-sized guys, a ton of which are getting pushed, and they really need some more bigger dudes right now to balance things out.

Who the fuck was TNA's last notable Indy signing, Joey Ryan? Before him I guess you'd have to go all the way back to when Desmond signed and Danielson was rumoured to be signing?
