Honestly, the best thing they can do with this show now is to give up on it as a regular PPV. They should try something new with this show, maybe created a new match stipulation, try out different matchups or add different things... make it a concept PPV in one way or another. You can't gauge crowd reactions in Chicago, but it would be cool to have a big #1 contender's tournament or a NXT title match or an El Torito open challenge or all sorts of silly, random stuff...

Looks like they're planning to add stipulations to matches.
NXT Takeover is May 29 and honestly I'm more pumped for that "PPV" than I am this one but I'll be watching regardless.

I'm hoping they do 3 separate matches between the members of Shield and Evolution for Payback... would be more entertaining in my humble opinion... and also better to highlight each member of the Shield individually.

I'd go Rollins/Orton; Reigns/HHH; Ambrose/Batista preferably.

I think Seth could have a singles career should they go that route, however honestly I gotta say I love him in Tag Team action, he could become an elite tag player in the WWE; Shield or not. So another scenario I would possibly do Ambrose/Rolins vs Orton/Batista and then Hunter/Reigns separately.

I was thinking Rollins/HHH because they are both thinking wrestlers... they match up really well. Ambrose/Orton because Ambrose is crazy and that's fun to watch.. maybe he could bring some fire back to Orton, he's been lacking it for years. and Reigns/Batista for obvious reasons... the 2 muscleheads... a stipulation on each match would make it even more interesting.

Falls count anywhere for Rollins/HHH... HHH works very well outside the ring and it could be a very exciting match if they could take it backstage... maybe a big spot of Rollins' flying ability and then have HHH really punish him in order to get the win.

2 out of 3 falls for Orton/Ambrose.... they could both get over very good in this type of match with both having huge spots before Orton gets the victory.

Regular match for Batista/Reigns... Batista feigns an injury and Reigns picks up the win..... puts Reigns over and gets Batista his down time after the show.

Just my thoughts but I would definitely enjoy this..

Really like that idea between the Shield and Evolution! Would finally give us a nice chance to see Reigns in action, but I'd rather see him against Orton tbh, we may need his athleticism to make sure Reigns comes out looking good.

It sounds crazy, but I'd like to see Brie vs Stephanie on this show as a way to continue the Bryan/Authority feud. They'd have to smoke and mirrors the hell out of the match, but there's too much storyline there to not do it.

Curious to see what you find lame about that statement; not arguing because I kind of think if it played out that way it would be kind of lame too. I was more interested to see if you thought the Reigns fighting back 3-1 was the lame part or Hunter pinning Reigns when all is said and done, or simply the whole scenario in general.

Cesaro vs. Sheamus for the US Title in Chicago would straight up steal the show. They mesh really well together (see ME match, Real Americans vs. Sheamus and Christian, Sheamus vs. Cesaro from Raw a year or two ago.), and if WWE gave both of them the platform to do their shit in Chicago, I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Other than that match, other matches I want to see: Rowan and Harper defeating Usos for the belts. I actually predicted Big E vs. Rusev for the IC Belt at Summerslam a couple of months ago on this site, but it seems they're doing this at Payback. I, believe it or not, think they could actually put out a solid match, both are agile big men and although they have next to no character, I'd like to see what they could pull off in this match.

BnB vs. Bo Dallas for the IC Belt (Rematch two years in the making).

Ahh okay, makes sense.
Idk I think there will be room for Ambrose & Rollins, something tells me Rollins won't be a singles competitor even without the SHIELD. Ambrose has a lot of charisma and put on quite a show during that BR for the US Title. They may get lost in the mid card for a few moments here and there but I think they will have a job with the company for awhile.

If we can get a LSM the quality of Cena vs Umaga (RIP) at Royal Rumble '07 then I will be happy.... another cool fact.. the 2 losses in LSMs from Cena both came in matches in which there was outside interference. I think we can all agree there is a 100% chance of outside interference in the Wyatt vs Cena LSM.

I really don't see any build up yet for an IC title defense... he's not in any real feud yet.. and it's just over 2 weeks until Payback... so I guess they could throw it to anyone really.
