wtf. Neither two of those men are big enough names yet IMO.
I don't even consider Bryan a big enough name, but he's almost there.
Maybe after Reigns gets a rub, he can be.

Just Kevin, I do kinda agree with you on Bryan. On paper he shouldn't have won, but there wasn't a better option this year. He had the built-in story, very few other guys did.

Ziggler had a more relevant story going into the Rumble match.. at SS he was responsible with slight outside help of removing the Authority.. the Authority comes back and fires him.. less than a week before Rumble he regains his job and then comes in and wins the Rumble to spit in the Authority's face. Reigns was barely a part of the Auhtority storyline at all. Would Ziggler/Lesnar had been a good match? Probably not lol

It doesn't really matter what any of us think. If those two guys were the key players in the story they wanted to tell, that's who you'd get.

Besides, you have to remember that Vince believes that Mania sells itself.

Well Reigns is headlining this year and Rollins is undoubtedly the top heel in the company, so I am not sure why one more year will not make a difference.

Kevin, quote this post if you want. Ziggler vs Lesnar would be a (slightly) better match than Ziggler vs Bryan.

I'm actually going to quote this...and I'm actually going to disagree with it. I don't think Ziggler makes quite as good an opponent for Lesnar as Bryan does. I can't really put my finger on why (and I'm a pretty big fan of both Bryan's and Ziggler's), but it just doesn't have the "pop" to me of Bryan vs. Lesnar.

The issue with Ziggler is that he didn't have much momentum after this firing storyline - not that it was a burial, but because he spent 3 weeks off TV just to advance some Sting//CenaTriple H crap. The momentum is easy to get back with the fans HAVING A NATURAL CONNECTION to him, but after Ziggler's big moment they've done so little with the guy that it's hard to buy him as a Rumble winner now, if that makes sense

Waco, I see your point. It doesn't have the same "pop" and doesn't have the same star power as the Bryan match, but Ziggler fighting from underneath The Beast Incarnate should make some compelling television. Goodnight Kevin and everyone else!

It does make some sense. I still think him winning the Rumble would have been compelling, though, and might have been enough to create that "pop" I mentioned earlier.

So what do you guys think about the Erick Rowan essentially taking on Harper & Wyatt.. that was a little weird.
