Robert Downey Jr. Tops Forbes’ List of Highest Paid Actors

It pays to be Marvel’s main man.

Robert Downey Jr. pocketed an estimated $75 million between June 2012 and June 2013, earning him the title of Highest-Paid Actor in Hollywood, this according to Forbes magazine’s annual list.

Downey earned $50 million for “The Avengers†alone, which took home $1.5 billion at the box office and an additional $25 million for “Iron Man 3,†another billion-dollar performer.

Channing Tatum leapfrogged several big names to earn the number two slot, having taken home $60 million in the last 12 months. In addition to “G.I. Joe Retaliation,†Tatum made a killing by self-financing “Magic Mike†with director Steven Soderbergh, so when the $7 million flick made $167 million worldwide, they each earned millions.

Don't think there's any real shockers on this list, maybe Wahlberg being that high.

Kind of surprised to see Cruise on the list. Didn't think his latest stuff did that well.

Thought that Seth MacFarlane might have been on there thanks to Ted making him a huge amount of money plus all the animation shows he had. Does this list just take into account their earnings from film or from everything they do?

The Rock continues to make a killing, cashing in whilst he is hot and he is smart for doing so. Nice to see Jackman up there, always nice seeing an Australian, and a nice one at that, do well.

How did Neeson make $32 million?
