According to The Wrestling Observer, TNA has no plans to tape Impact Wrestling on the road in the near future, and heading into the summer months the plan is to tape all TV at the Impact Zone in Orlando.

The report is noting that the inability to move ratings coupled with the high production costs is what's keeping TNA from taping more shows on the road.

That's why TNA isn't going anywhere, they rarely if ever leave that theme park.

It also doesn't help when they do go elsewhere the attendance is low anyways. People want to relate it to WCW Nitro going all over but they did that from the start. Impact is stuck unless TNA gets some major movement.

Location will improve legitimacy and may help the ratings in the long run. TNA make near to no attempt at getting exposure.

Them moving from there won't have anything effect on their ratings unless they became popular in other areas. They need to move to help the company growth but seeing how it cost money to go on the road and they obviously don't make enough like KIF said they may just be stuck there and it is too late for them to try charging for attendance.

If they can't make money on the road and don't get an increase in ratings I can see why they don't want to do it. But I think that if they want to increase their audience they need to suffer some short term pain in order to get some long term gain. The show has a much better feel when it is on the road because you get a new audience rather than the same people week in and week out. To start with they need to run most of their PPVs on the road and then after that they can start looking at taking Impact on the road more often.

The thing they need to realise is that tapping on the road will bring more audience and advertise the product to help improve reatings, it wont be an instant increase. Trouble is if there worried about money they may struggle to keep going before the ratings increase.

Also they don't draw big crowds apart from the UK, and all ppv on the road seem to have 3 quarters papered if you belive the reports, whether this is down to people not wanting to go or holding out so they don't have to pay is another thing.

They can still tour and do house shows all around the country even if they only tape at the Impact Zone. They just need to get out there and so a wider audience what they can do to try to win over some more fans.

The definitely should tour the UK more often and tape there, 7k for their last taping there!!!

Remember when TNA used to be good? When about 4-5 years ago people were chanting "TNA! TNA! TNA!" during a WWE show?

This is a dumb idea for TNA, they need to move! Get some more exposure. Make the tickets cheaper if you have to, it helps.

I went to Slammiversary 2009 and their were maybe 4K people there. They don't draw. Save the costs and stay in the impact zone. If they want ratings (not necessarily money) going live would be a better move.
