I'm a bigger fan of Daniel Bryan than I am of Roman Reigns, but Roman Reigns should win this match. WWE established this tradition of the Royal Rumble deciding who will be in the main event at Wrestlemania and they really shouldn't stray from it.

The previous times they have screwed with this setup there were more legitimate story line reasons. In 1997 Shawn Michaels surrendered the belt and they had the match between the last four Rumble Participants for the belt. So by that point, it made no sense to go with the Rumble Winner, Steve Austin, who was one of the four guys in the match. The only other time I can think of was when John Cena came back and won the Rumble and asked for his title shot at the following PPV instead of Wrestlemania.

Here, there is absolutely no reason that Daniel Bryan should be involved in this. Yes, he never truly lost the belt, but that argument is invalid because Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble in no way precludes Bryan from getting a title shot at Reigns or Lesnar (we are sure it will be Reigns) at an event other than Wrestlemania.

Honestly I have no real idea why WWE thinks this match is a good idea. I'm not sure that it will silence irritated Bryan fans in any way. It actually just seems like a way to treat Roman Reigns like crap. It was fine last year when Triple H and Bryan had that match to make the Wrestlemania main event a triple threat, but it doesn't make sense for them two years in a row mess with the established Royal Rumble rules for Daniel Bryan.

So although I am a much bigger Daniel Bryan fan, I want Roman Reigns to win the match and hold onto the title shot he is entitled to.

I don't like Reigns and he doesn't even deserve to be in the second half of WM card, let alone main event it, but he should win this match, otherwise WWE is going to legitimaze the crowd hijacking. Again.

While I shouldn't be complaining since Bryan's getting his spot and - more importantly - WWE IS listening to the audience, it's not like I want Roman Reigns to be killed off like this either.
Now that WWE has teased Bryan, going back to Reigns vs Lesnar will really hurt most of the wounded fanbase even more. If the plan is a double-turn... great? I guess? Idk.

If Roman wins, he'll continue his rise of being LOATHED by the fans.
If Roman loses, he becomes a stupid babyface who put his title shot on his line for no reason.
If the match ends in bullshit, the fans are upset that you teased Bryan and the company gets a ton of heat.

No good way out. If they had forced Reigns into it somehow Roman can still fall back into a match with the Authority, but what will the loser do now?

Massive spoiler. It's written WWE Champ under Daniel Bryan's name! :bitw:

WWE star Daniel Bryan recently appeared on WREG News 3 in Memphis to promote the upcoming WWE Fast Lane PPV, and the following are some highlights:

On his Fast Lane match against Roman Reigns:

“I’m going to be wrestling Roman Reigns, who’s also very popular,” Bryan said. “I’m [also] very popular. The crowd’s going to be very split, it’s going to be a pretty intense atmosphere.

I need to beat Roman Reigns at Fast Lane. If I win that match, then I get to go on to WrestleMania and face Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and that’s the match that I want.”

Bryan also discusses the “Occupy Raw” angle done last year in Memphis, and shares more memories of wrestling in the city.

I don't get this? lol
There's no spoiler or anything.

Don't worry, you'll get it when Bryan wins the title from Lesnar at Mania. :bischoff:

Bryan isn't the WWE Champ, but it's written under his name in that interview that he is one.
So, they must've gone a bit ahead of time and spoiled what's gonna happen at Mania.

The company will kill any plans it has to push Roman if anything happens other then him beating DB at Fast Lane. I'm sorry but it's true, for all the DB fans out there the WWE is trying too hard to build up a second guy so we don't have another decade of Super Cena but instead being Super Bryan. yes are other guys over sure DZ is but he's had his title runs, granted they were short and not done very well but that shouldn't stop them from pushing someone like Roman. I think if Punk was still in the company DB would not be so over because it would have been Punk vs Authority as a face again. Let DB have a title reign later this year Give Roman a two month reign let Rollins cash in on him he has his rematch and doesn't win then face off agaisnt DB for the Number One Contender spot.

Bryan vs Lesnar > Reigns vs Lesnar

But that said, I won't have much of a problem if Reigns wins. This past week proved that he still has his fair share of admirers and that the Philly crowd was probably just an anomaly. The smark Wrestlemania crowd will probably let their voice be heard by cheering Lesnar over him, but meh. Wrestlemania or not, they shouldn't let a select few crowds completely change their plans when there's a shitload of people who are actually genuinely interested in seeing Roman succeed.

Agreed. Best options is to have a no contest which leads to a triple threat at this point.

Bryan should win. The lad gives us lads like up hope

Reigns is all furcoat and no knickers. If I wanted to see a man look good, I would look in the mirror. I want to see a lad wrestle, at the end of the day

Well I'm all for building a guy... However, I don't think it was a good idea to pit these 2 against each other just yet. And that's the argument.

Reigns can wrestle, (this is coming from a huge DB fan, btw), it's just that he's been given Big Show right now and he can't really shine with an opponent like that.

But, just watch Reigns and Bryan going to work at Fast Lane, it's gonna be a superb performance by both Reigns and Bryan.
