So just a little while ago, I got into a random altercation with one of my "real life friends". One of the most random, un-needed arguments I've ever gotten into. I made a little remark that for whatever reason, didn't go over too well with him (but I've made the same exact remark to some of my "internet friends" and not shit happened. We went along with our day.) Now, I've said this before on Facebook and other places, that the majority of my loyal friends are on the internet (I know that sounds crazy but for me, it's so true). Which is strange because you wouldn't think jokes and sarcasm would go over so well on the internet but sometimes they definitely do and it makes the conversation much more delightful.

Now, I know I may regret making this thread later on but as of right now I'm heated so I don't care. What about you guys? How would you compare your "real life friends" to your "internet friends"? Do you like one more than the other? Let all of us know here. Thank you for your time.

I don't know I mean I see your point sometimes people on the internet are more chill and cool but then you got the people on the net also(glad i not met any here) who can be complete dicks and just do nothing but say crap to you all day. I mean I got more people I'm cool with on the net then I am off so I can see your point it's not much of a loser thing I mean hell I think everyone who does anything online and for sure with people on forums who has people they consider a friend but they just know them from the internet. But I'd take having more real life friends if I could so I like them both the same honestly.

I have met some really good people online, and some not so great, but the people that I have met online I will cherish forever. As for Real Life friends..well lets just say I hardly ever see them which is a shame, and in my community its difficult to come across people that share the same interest and that will be by your side no matter what ya know what I mean?

Internet friends are pretty awesome, I think of most of them as equal to my real life friends. Guys like Apex and Brandon that I have on Facebook and everything are my broskis and I really enjoy talking to them. In fact, I like talking to any of my online friends more then real friends over the computer because I usually just hate conversations over the computer for some reason. Lol, but really they're the same as my real friends because all of these guys get my sense of humor and that's pretty awesome. So yeah, if you get my sense of humor we're always cool I guess.

Very different. I actually have very little in common with my friends IRL and do wonder sometimes how I get along with them, haha. But I still prefer them, because no offense to the people I interact with online, but I'll always prefer human interaction.

I'm offended. This internet friendship is over! R.I.P.

But yeah, I'd rather chill with my real friends but still.

I've actually met some online friends because one of them lives in San Diego like me, and once a month we go to local wrestling shows together(I'm sure some of you will know who I'm referring to). The other was in town a few years ago, and wanted to meet up so we did and we went bowling.

I remember at one point in my life I had more online friends than I did personal friends, but now I have the same amount of online friends as I do personal friends. I treat each of them the same, and I get along with each of them very well.

For some reason, the idea of meeting someone you talk to online seems really surreal to me.

Well as long as we're not ass rapists, I think it's pretty awesome. ...........and I ain't no damn ass rapist

I'm surprised this thread has gotten this many responses, TBH lol

I'd also rather hang out with real life friends but only if the people aren't fucking cunts. And some of my friends have turned into cunts lately.

I like both. They both have different qualities.

My internet friends are a lot smarter than my real life friends but, I get more fun out of my real life friends.

Plus, my internet friends like wrestling while, my real life ones don't.

I don't have any friends, it was part of my twelve step process. Had to weed out people that were "bad" influences, and turns out everyone I work with or know, or seem to meet in general is a bad influence towards either drugs or alcohol and sometimes both, and just being around them makes me want to drink. :/
