He's Adam Cole BayBay!

In seriousness, I began liking Adam Cole because I thought he had a nice ass. Think about how you like Charlotte, and that is how I honestly see Adam Cole. And not only that he is an excellent wrestler, an excellent heel. You should watch some of his ROH matches if you haven't and you'll see why people like him.

Yeah...well...apart from his catchphrase...I just don't
see what everyone else seems to see. Perhaps I need
to see him wrestle a few more matches?

He also takes a lot of big risk spots. If you saw NXT War Games you would see what I mean. He's charismatic, gorgeous and just pleasing :)

Well...I mean I adore Charlotte for more than the fact she is
a tall, blonde Goddess whose moonsaults excite me in ways
I'd rather not admit.

So...you worship Adam Cole & were recently outbid on ebay
for a bottle of his bath water.

I did see that match...and I don't see what you see.

You just like the idea of having a "match" with him
yourself don't you Jakey-Jake?

And I though your heart belonged to Angelico...

;P

The point is not that I like Adam Cole for the same reasons you like Charlotte, but I probably feel the same way about him for other reasons.

You don't see the big risk he took climbing on top of the cage and getting totally knocked off into a table (I think)? Wow, does it have to be barbed wire to be impressive.

You just like the idea of having a "match" with him

Hell yeah.

And I though your heart belonged to Angelico...

:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I'm a slut. I like Angelico, Adam Cole, Chad Gable, and others. I actually own a pair of Chris Sabin's tights. Back when I knew him I told him my BF had a pair of Alex Shelley's tights and we thought it would be fun to wrestle in them. So I got them :)

Generally speaking, besides the 2 Rumble matches, this PPV wasn't anything special (hence why I'm only giving it 6/10) so I'm probably just gonna talk about those 2 matches
  • first things first, the men's Rumble was incredible this year and I think it should have closed the show. No Ronda on this earth made the women's Rumble better than the men's
  • the women's Rumble was kinda like I expected it to go, a bit awkward and messy with a bunch of random entrances because their roster isn't thick enough. A bunch of the women that came back looked kinda off in the ring, and even though commentary kept on telling me that they "still got it" or that they "haven't lost a step", they flat out lied because simple things like kicks to the gut looked like ass by most of them.
  • Then we randomly had Naomi basically taking all of Kofi's past strategies and performing them all at once, because she's a woman and that makes it different lol.
  • I'm really happy that Asuka won as she's the most over woman on the Raw roster right now but the ending with Nikki looked so sloppy and unrealistic.. it actually sums up why Nikki's still a very awkward and robotic worker after all these years
  • Ronda coming out after the match didn't make much sense to me, especially when she pointed towards the Mania sign as if she just won. Like, don't come too late and expect a title shot after 30 other women just fought over it you spoiled brat lmao. But I get it, it's to get people talking and shit. I guess the most logical thing is to have Charlotte v Rousey and Asuka v whoever wins the Raw Womens title in the EC, which looks pretty good to me
  • NOW, the men's Rumble was great from top to bottom imo, I literally have no complaints. From the moment they started it with Rusev and Balor, to Corbin destroying everything in sight, to Elias coming out with the guitar while everyone is still laid out, to the whole Heath Slater gimmick where he basically couldn't enter until he finally did and eliminated Sheamus, to Zayn and Owens taking out Dillinger, to Xavier and Big E saving Kofi's foot from touching to the floor, to Rey Mysterio being able to avenge his last unfortunate timing in a Rumble, to Ziggler coming back at #30, to having a little old vs new angle between the final 6, to then have the 3 most likely winners battle it out in Cena, Reigns and Nakamura. It seemed like everything had a purpose and was well thought out.
  • from now on I feel as if Reigns will always be in the final 2 just so the pop for whoever wins it gets bigger lol, but Nakamura winning was amazing and I love how they managed to pull an extreme 180 with him in just 1 match. Going into it he was a fucking loser and now they actually made him achieve something that's worth getting excited over. So good on him and them because it was a huge success. So far at least.
  • The only thing I didn't like about the men's Rumble actually came after the match when they interviewed him right away. I don't know what it is about Nakamura but they always wanna make this guy talk when he doesn't need to. Like, why not just keep it low key and have him stare down Styles backstage or smth. Anything but having him yell out the obvious for a cheap pop, you know?
btw, no pyros for either Rumble winner? What's the point of the whole match if they can't even be cool and point at the sign to have fireworks everywhere?

Where yo' grandma stay.
The men's rumble match was pretty lit, really well booked rumble match and none of the competitors in the match felt out of place and everyone had enough time to shine. The Slater gag was funny, Kofi's stunt this year was pretty creative and we got the Hurricane and Rey Mysterio back. Also we got the main roster debuts of Adam Cole and Andrade Cien Almas which was awesome. Really glad Shinsuke won.

The women's rumble wasn't bad, a little clumsy at some points but all in all a good first rumble for this roster of women. Extremely happy Asuka won but not so excited for what she'll be doing at Mania with Ronda Rousey now in the picture. I just hope Asuka stays undefeated.

Off the 2 rumbles alone I'd say I was sports entertained, 8/10

Royal Rumble was a very good show. 8/10

It was long, but it didn't really feel long, that means WWE's finally done something right. This Royal Rumble, even though it had some flaws, was still one of the best RR events in recent memory. Good job, WWE.

9/10 for me.
Even though the tag team matches sucked, Universal Title match was....there. WWE Title match was alright.

These 2 RR matches are probably both in my TOP 3 of all time. I'll even say that the Men's Rumble is my favorite of all time.
Some goodt returns, NXT guys got some spotlight, everyone beating up Slater on their entrance was hilarious and of course an amazing winner, leading to HOPEFULLY the main event of Wrestlemania..

Women's rumble was really good as well, we saw some glimpses of heel Sasha, returning women were great, especially Michelle McCool and Trish Stratus. They can definitely still go. I was not too sure about Asuka winning, but it got really interesting with Ronda entering the picture..

Another thing now that I've kinda recovered, Ziggler at Number 30 in the Rumble was very underwhelming. He came in and was near enough eliminated straight away by Balor, it was nice to see him and all, but it felt like a waste of a spot.

Here's what I would've done, Roode holds the US Open Challenge, Mojo does not in any way accept this because... it's Mojo. Have Dillinger or even one of the Fashion Poilce accept the challenge. You got a nice little match (extra points for no Mojo), and then after the match, superkick to Roode by a returning Ziggler. "I'm de showoff etc." and he leaves.

Rumble time, and already adding on to an already amazing rumble match, you can have Goldust come out and then when number 30 comes round. *insert crowd buzzer noise here because that was amazing on the pre-show*

Boom. Arena goes black, it's bloody Aleister Black. (I know I'm a big Aleister mark but this would've been great. No one can see a thing, lights come back on and he's in the middle of the ring sitting down, everyone sorta steps back as he slowly gets up to his feet. Everyone then awkwardly continue to fight, Goldust runs at Black... BLACK MASS GOODNIGHT MY SON, over the top rope you go.

Right, final 7. They fight for a while, Reigns doesn't eliminate Orton this time and Randy is instead eliminated by Aleister Black, only for poor Aleister to get thrown over by Roman. Or, you can have Adam Cole come out (who had previously been eliminated and lost to Black at Takeover), and be a factor in his elimination.

This post was much longer than I expected lmao.

I haven't watched the kick off show...but I know The Revival & Bobby Roode had wins which is great.
It was nothing. Nothing much going on. Roode squashed Mojo like he was nothing.

I mean, Aliester as number 30 could have been an interesting way to showcase an ongoing NXT feud on the main roster. With Adam maybe eliminating him or vice-versa. Or if Almas lasted that long and Black eliminated him that also could have set up a Takeover New Orleans match.

Styles vs. The Canucks: Good storytelling, lame ring work. Not a very thrilling opener to the show to me.

Usos vs. Angle Fanclub: Worst 2/3 falls match I've seen in a while. It had some moments, yeah, but just felt boring for the most part.

Men's Royal Rumble: Surprises delivered, spots were great, final six and final three were executed very well. Dolph Ziggler being the final entrant was really interesting, yet ultimately lame since he got thrown out quickly. Nakamura winning sucks for me since I'm not a fan of the guy. Considering this match's position on the card (and Orton's position at 'Mania last year), I'm going to go off on a limb here and assume Nakamura won't actually main event WrestleMania. Instead, I'm betting on Reigns or Cena having that honor.

If Rey's back for a while, I'd like to see him and Balor face off at WrestleMania.

Women's Royal Rumble: Wrestling quality was much worse than the men's, though it was still pretty good for essentially the same reasons. Kairi Sane being eliminated by Dana Brooke is hilarious, but not nearly as good as Eva Marie ending Asuka's streak at an NXT battle royale. Michelle McCool had a very sick looking attire during the match. Asuka winning is logical and was booked very well. Stephanie McMahon was terrible on commentary and should never be allowed behind an announce table ever again.

Ronda's existence could've been handled better. It's too late in Ronda's career for me to care, though. She doesn't feel as great a spectacle now that she's lost twice.

This show also made me realize just how similar Nakamura and Asuka's characters are. The only real difference between the two is that Asuka's character has miraculously not been executed by poor booking and writing.

Anyways, I didn't watch the other matches since they frankly didn't interest me at all. I give the show a 7/10 for delivering with two strong rumble matches and an acceptable WWE title match. It felt worth my time as a viewer, which is more than I can say for most WWE shows.
