8/10. Some bad pacing throughout the PPV and the Raw tag match didn't deliver. Otherwise a good show

Aside from the confusing ending (I'll cut it some slack just because it's Ronda's first time doing anything like this) this show is a solid 8/10

Oh and a side rating...
Two Japanese wrestlers won both main (RR) matches at this PPV.
the end is nigh/10

I could count Brock winning as Japanese if we all pretend he is Godzilla...

I'm exhausted, I'm wasted, I'm most likely on the brink of death itself, but I don't care. I haven't slept since about Friday and it was all for this and Takeover, and it was worth it so much.

WWE Title - 7/10
SD Tag Titles - 6.5/10
Men's Rumble - 9/10
RAW Tag Titles - 5/10
Universal Title - 7/10
Women's Rumble - 8/10

Overall - 8/10 (average about a 7 but whatever I'm giving it an 8 because I can)

Overall, some good fucking wrestling. Good fucking job WWE, you've hit the nail on the head for this one. Best Rumble event in years.

Now I'm going to go lay down in my bed, and sleep through an entire day. Peace.

Did WWE mess up and give us two good rumbles with logical booking, the right winners and set up Wrestlemania and left a ? for the next nights RAW show?

It was long with the preshow, I watched the lot at 7 hours. For the length it went by reaosnably fast, and they did a lot of things right IMHO including putting the Womens rumble on last.

I wonder if the New Japan influenced it, two Japanese winners (one was obvious, one was spoiled the previous day), and they gave us 2 quality matches and used nostalgia acts correctly. Maybe NJPW scared them into not screwing up.

Best WWE weekend since I joined the network IMHO as the Takeover was good as well but when was the last time one of those was bad (if ever). Roman did not win and they kept Ronda out of the rumble so I think they also did good there.

AJ vs Shinsuke at Wrestlemania is a dream match for the hardcore crowd, wonder if they have realised its time to pass the torch going by RAW 25 as well with DX and The Club.

Drop the pre show and condense down to 4 hours I think would have made it a 9/10, overall very good IMHO. Can't complain to much or moan bitch and whine.

A solid 9. I can overlook the tag matches because I don't really like tag wrestling anyway. The handicap match wasn't great either. But the Men's rumble was tense as hell and I was literally on the edge of my seat. The Women's rumble did everything right. They got a LOT of old stars in it and that was great because they deserved to be part of this match. Asuka winning was predictable, but it was still awesome. I am just completely pleased at this moment.

The Ronda Rousey thing was weird. Why wasn't she in the match? And the lie about being out of the country made it obvious she would show up. That is an old tactic.

Anyway, we had an awesome chat in the room. You guys were all great and I hope that @Beavie comes to terms with his gender dysphoria. Just know that sex reassignment is a tough decision that can't be reversed.

I'mma keep it brief this time around, I gave it a 9 FOR ME because the show was really structured (probably not THE BEST but structured well) and I really enjoyed how it kept you guess at many of it turns. A couple of matches were pretty obvious but hopefully the stories that follow, will become better at this point. And a lot of great spots in both Rumble matches, were they perfect?? No but they gave us the fans, the better end results for this year IMO. I hope the momentum continues to just elevate from here to Wrestlemania. It is VERY VERY VERY important that nothing gets too stale before WM.

Edit: Btw, very awkward ending. They definitely fouled that part of the whole evening which was supposed to be one of the best parts for tonight but maybe they wanted to work it slow starting tomorrow on RAW.

Finally, they did a Rumble match right.

Let me go over the negatives first:

Order of the show:

It was weird having the Men's Rumble mid-show. With the ending, which I'll get to, I kind of get it, but still, the presitgous match being in the mid-card was odd. If a Rumble started and ended the show, then maybe I think it'd be paced better.

Raw Tag Team Match:

It wasn't bad, just wasn't memorable and the crowd was drained after the Rumble. Not their fault really, especially with Seth and Cesaro competing in the Rumble just before (Sheamus...he was eliminated by the chick from Wendy's

The Weirdness of the ending:

The end had Rhonda Rousey come out, and while that was a cool moment, it was sort of confusing...If you watched it, you understand.

But, what was good:

World Title Matches, while not show-stealing, were enjoyable.

The fact the WWE Championship was in a handicap match was weird, but they used it well with quick tags, and using interference to stop AJ from getting too much momentum. It told a story and the way it ended was the most ideal.

As for the Triple Threat, it was just chaotic to ramp up the crowd before the final match and it did its job.

Smackdown Tag Team Match:

While was not the greatest match from both men, it was still at least enjoyable and the agression from the heels in Gable and Shelton was a good part of the match.

Both Royal Rumbles delivered:

The past few years have been mostly misses for the Royal Rumble. What was a cherished match became what was expected to be the match that pisses everyone off. This year there was "more Rumble than ever" and they pulled off both well. The men's match had a perfect blend of surprises from the past and new surprises. With Adam Cole and NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas after great performances last night entering and doing fairly well (especially with Andrade lasting long). Then we had The Hurricane for an entertaining comedy spot and Rey Mysterio returning AND NOT GETTING BOOED IN A ROYAL RUMBLE, that was nice. Then there was Finn being the Ironman and being final four, and the winner, Shinsuke Nakamura. Finally a Rumble with a cheered winner, and him vs AJ Styles at Wrestlemania is going to be epic.

Then the Women's, aside from a couple of botches, this was done well. Nia clearing the ring, Sasha's Ironwoman performance and hinting towards a heel turn was well done. A good number of nostalgia entrants and while some got eliminations, they still put over a younger star in the end. Then Asuka winning was great, surviving both Bellas to win.

8/10 was one of the best Rumble events overall in years.

Anyway, we had an awesome chat in the room. You guys were all great and I hope that @Beavie comes to terms with his gender dysphoria. Just know that sex reassignment is a tough decision that can't be reversed.

Actually she was out of the country. The WWE probably chartered a private jet to fly her out earlier today and hid her.
