I saw the main event pretty much. And seeing the end of summerslam last night then this tonight is actually not too bad. I mean, sure it's a troll... but it keeps delivering storyline and shocking moments. The payoff may be underwhelming for most, but this has been some of the only wrestling I've seen in a while and its keeping me interested.
Like last night it was like oh shit here comes braun. Nope nvm. Then again tonight but then after they announce the cash in, boom shield. And they have a nice little segment with some good action, only to realise they didn't ring the bell so the cash in still hasn't happened. A double troll doesn't necessarily mean bad. It was unexpected and clever. Annoying sure, but clever and I have to give them that.
That main event match was pretty great too. They made reigns look big. And like a threat. I have noticed the guy has real natural in ring talent, and has that natural badass look they really need to let him roll with it for a bit.

Really the only other thing I saw so far was that Ronda rousey bit where she attacked steph. I was hoping they topped it off with all of the women attacking Ronda. That would have been interesting.

I may even have to try to catch some again next week lol.

I am glad some people are enjoying it. I can't give a valid opinion one way or the other considering I watch next to nothing when it comes to WWE. I want things to improve in a way to get people excited for what they will do next again like it was 4 or 5 years ago. They have had their moments but they are too few and far in between. I mean, at the very least people should be glad the belt is off Brock. I wanted him to win to see Braun cash in on him but eh, oh well.

The fuck was that ending? Are all 3 Shield members heels now? Strowman tried to cash in fairly. Honestly this felt like such a Vince "moment" thing - Cole even said "What a moment!" as they were about to do the triple powerbomb. Fucking weird man

That was a segment written by a writer.
A writer that OK'ed it with the head of creative.
It was on a script handed to VKM and Dunn, who also approved of the idea
It was given to an agent to give to the wrestlers
The wrestlers went out and performed this.

Along this chain nobody was like "Wow, what the hell are we doing?"

Yeah I find it weird that the crowd was going wild because looking at this from the outside, it would seem that the Shield just turned heel and Rollins and Ambrose are going to protect Reigns and keep him from losing the Universal title. IF, and it is a big IF, this is what is happening and Braun becomes the face that challenges a heel Shield, then YES that would be something I would want to watch.

However, I doubt that is what happened. More than likely, the Shield will remain faces and Dean and Rollins were just protecting their friend. That is the stupidity that WWE does lately.

If Braun was truly a face, he'd quit being a coward and do an RVD/Cena cash in where he has a fair match with the champ. Announcing that you're gonna cash it in after someone else has already worn down the champ is still a cowards way to do it. Seth and Dean are just evening the odds for their friend, because they know he'd do the same for them due to him being such a great guy. I'm sure if Braun did a fair cash in, they wouldn't get involved.

Are people getting pissed because Braun lost his MITB? Lol.

It's good storytelling. Waaaay better then any Strowman cash in.

The story is the Shield have screwed Strowman. Now the Monster wants vengeance. That's way better then any cash in. Strowman Vs Shield. That is perfect.

It's like in a movie where the protagonists are like '''what have we done?!". Now the Shield know that they better be ready for Strowman's retaliation. This is a war

I don't see why people prefer a cash in. Just so their OCD doesn't trigger them because it's happened two years in a row. Why does that even matter, when we are getting a better strory. The Mitb isn't pointless as it's being used develop and give heat to the eventual Strowmans Vs Roman HIAC.

How can you interpret this as a troll? They are using a MITB loss (for someone who doesn't need it) to add a to a story going into HIAC. The Shield uniting together to fend off Strowmans who is angry as fuck.

This is some good shit WWE.

Yeah and that's why this story has layers and there is no clear heel or face.

This is some good shit WWE.

It's a troll because they took internet rumors that were going on for months, hinted at that rumor actually coming true and then taking it away. And then they did it again. For months people have assumed that Strowman would cash in at Summerslam or the night after. So he tried both times and they didn't go through with it. WWE was well aware of these rumors and they were very well aware of the fan's expectations when they did this. It's the VERY definition of a troll.

There was no need for them to do this two nights in a row. If they wanted to do this Shield thing, they simply could have passed on the Summerslam cash in attempt and just did the Raw one. Doing this two nights in a row is the very definition of a troll and I am shocked an intelligent person like you cannot see that.

I'm unaware of those rumours and just think it's great storytelling. You not going to enjoy WWE if you read internet rumours.

I understand now why people would be pissed. And the ending of Summer Slam could of been way better. But they booked themselves into a corner. People were expecting Braun to atleast attempt to cash in. But they didn't want Braun to cash in. If Braun didn't come out then people would of asked questions.

I don't think this is a troll to fans. I feel like WWE were trying to please fans. I have to say what they have done is really good storytelling even if it does shit on people's expectations. It will come good in the end.

Troll or not, it's good shit, even with my feelings for Roman aside. Using the rumors only to tease it and not have it happen is not trolling imo. It is wise use of the fans emotions and expectations and turning it against them to further interest in the story and make fans once again not know when the cash in will take place. Trolling would be having him actually go through with the cash in and losing the briefcase. Or like when Heyman came out to Punk's music in Chicago

The Shield don't have anything against Braun, they did it to protect Roman. Now they have to face the repercussions. A war between Roman Vs Braun in a HIAC which is about Vengeance and honour is way better then a cash in.

But I get why fans would be unhappy. But I don't see it as a troll. For once WWE has done something good for once.

I give it 2 to 3 weeks to stay "good" or make "sense"...these are the laziest storylines ever. WWE and their Hail Mary plays, do it again lmao.

It's wrestling. Lazy and simple storylines are inevitable. Don't expect anything else

And trying to make that the excuse is really not having one at all. Sorry.
