Excluding a couple of things here and there I didn't necessarily like, for the most part I thought the show was just fine and gave it a 6/10. And that being said, thoughts:
- Kind of digged this new (I guess) presentation of the matches with the dimming of the lights while the ring announcer presenting each opponent. Hey, at least it's something new and different, so props to whomever came up with the idea...
- No surprise in RooDolph winning the RAW tag straps and obviuously non suprisingly Rollins retained the Universal Championship in the main event. I really liked the finish and more so Rollins digging out a pedigree before setting up for the forth and final stomp, which at least made Braun still looking strong in defeat. I mean, one can call him a loser but, hey, it took four stomps and a pedigree so I'm okay with it.
As for the Fiend, well, it's not like we were not warned about it and all WWE have do is the obvious, thus have him beat Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell and give him a (very) lengthy title run...
- Bailey versus Charlotte went down excactly as I figured it would go, down to even Bailey cheating to win, something I was very adamant about in recent posts. This was the best (and only, quite frankly) way for Bailey to win here and I should once more give WWE some props for not messing this up...
- Becky and Sasha was pretty awesome and I guess at the end of the day, the finish kind of made sense. I mean, they were not going to beat Becky just yet and they obviously couldn't have Sasha lose on her first PPV back after all this time out so they took the safe route whilst obviously setting up another match which I am quite certain will take place inside Hell in a Cell. I feel that's when Sasha wins the gold...
- Kofi beating Orton was the obvious choice and, quite frankly, the only choice. Not only does this close the final chapter of their feud, but it also solidified Kofi as a top player. Looking back from ever since Kofi won the belt at Wrestlemania, this feud with Orton was the most signifcant of them all, Orton being the biggest name Kofi has defeated. That being said, I am still sticking with my guns in regards to the prediction I made a few months back: Kofi will defend the WWE championship on the first Fox show, probably by issuing an open challenge, which will be answered by none other than Brock Lesnar. To quote Paul, this ain't a prediction, it's a spoiler...
Seriously though, if they are looking to make a big splash on the first show on FOX, I honestly can't think of a better way...unless the Rock shows up...
- Welcome back Luke Harper !!! (did not see that coming)...
- Didn't think they'd go with the Revival last night but very glad they did so, considering they are indeed one of the very best tag teams all around. Hopefully they get a proper push, like they deserve...
- Bliss and Nikki retained...meh...shouldn't have changed my mind in regards to the outcome but whatever...
