He is in a horrible situation it seems as they obviously don't want him in the world title scene at least for the time being but he's too much of a name to not have storyline or feud for. Really interesting that he didn't get booked a feud upon return nor even got a half assed PPV match like they did with Rey and Miz. So what do you think they will and/or should do with Orton cause right now it doesn't seem like WWE really has anything in mind for him to do from his character to just simply booking him. .

I think his biggest problem is that he's returned right in the middle of the Summerslam program. There wasn't really any ideal opponents left for him to feud with.

Maybe Ziggler, or maybe Bryan, for him after Summerslam.

If it wasn't SummerSlam coming up then he would have made the card easy but they likely had all their plans ready so didn't want to fuck it up. He'll be fine once the PPV is over and he'll go straight back into the World Title picture at Night of Champions where they'll most likely have a multiman match or two for both the world titles.

Would be nice if he was a full heel. Simply inserts himself into the title picture, and there ya go. If Sheamus ever gets injured or what not, Orton can just punt him in the head! :)

He's been putting guys over for a long ass time (Barrett, Henry, Cody, Christian, etc) so its only right that he gets back into the main event A.S.A.P.

I think they should turn him heel soon. Creative has nothing for him as a face, and at least if he turns heel that opens up feud options between him and Cena, Rock, Punk, Sheamus and so on.

I'm not usually one to call for heel turns, I was against Punk's recent one, but Orton is a natural heel and has accomplished absolutely nothing as a babyface.

Think he'll be fine after the ppv. They didn't want him getting a SummerSlam payday which would be a reward, that he doesn't deserve. It's the second big check of the year and he fucked them over, so it's their way of returning the favor

That and Randy won't make them money like Rey is why he's off the card IMO

Orton could actually benefit with doing the type of thing Cena is doing (for a shorter period) give him a big name not quite as big as rock or brock just a legend that can still be seen as a contender. Then a couple more huge feuds before going back after a belt.

I think it will clear it self all out after SummerSlam. I also still see him being at the event in some capacity.

Creative literally has nothing for Orton and haven't had since 2010. I do like the reactions he's getting, his matches are a better pace now that he's not dominating them and he wrestles great as a face but turning him heel is the way to go. I would have him turn heel against Cena.

If Cena and Punk were not busy with each other then I wouldn't mind a Punk/Orton thing again. I think their first feud was highly underrated, and their WM match was very good. I think it ended too soon, and felt too rushed.

Anyways, have him feud with Bryan or something after SummerSlam. I really don't care where he is as long as it's not fighting for the title.

Think you make a good point. He must see it as a big blow to be left off a card the size of this and maybe thats the point. Don't think he deserves to go striaght back into the title picture agree that a feud with Bryan could work as long as they are presented as equals even don't mind the Cena idea.

I'm kind of glad he isn't in the main event picture right now. His whole last run on Smackdown was the epitome of "boring" in every sense of the word. He makes a lousy babyface, but I doubt he will just turn full on heel when he returns to relevancy. WWE is pushing too many heels right now, particularly on Smackdown. And with CM Punk rounding the corner of a complete heel turn, he's not going to fit in on Raw as a heel either. Regardless of which show he turns up on after Summer Slam, I'm pretty sure we'll get stuck dealing with his terrible babyface routine again, which is why I'm not in any hurry to see him back.

Yeah I just think this and not making Raw 1000 or being mentioned there was their way of reality checking him
