Well, I guess they are. With Kenny Omega, Kenny King and Jerry Lynn, it should be good. But they should be looking at get something happening with CHIKARA. That place is awesome.

Omega is the only one worth caring about out of those three. Lynn is old, and King is just plain shit.

They really need to bring a lot more new talent in from the indys.

Agreed, there's just one problem. This isn't 99 or 2000, when there was a SHITLOAD of young talent making waves in the independent scene (Styles, Super Dragon, Joe, Punk, Daniels). Right now, there's not a lot of talent available in the indy scene. Every fed has 1 or 2 guys that stand out, but the rest are scrubs.

I mean, they're using Lynn, but he's not exactly young. I would say that they should use CHIKARA talent, but Brodie Lee, The Osirian Portal, Super Smash Bros, among others have been used in ROH recently.

Fact is, the indy scene as a whole is in a bit of a dry spell at the moment, and ROH looks like it'll be the one that suffers the most because of that.
True. I'd say they need to look abroad for talent. May as well bring guys like PAC in. He could fill a spot in the midcard well. It may be time that they look to England to find some talent.

ROH just need to concentrate on staying afloat at the moment, they should be looking into employing some former WWE talents, who don't expect much money, and who are just happy to wrestle.

I agree with the first part, but not about what you said about the WWE guys. I doubt that any of the former WWE guys like Burke or London would be a cheap asking price, and the spectacle of them would just go away if they wrestled full time for ROH.

I don't think that they're going to bring in anymore international talent like PAC or guys from the West Coast, they're probably going to stick with more local guys for shows. I wouldn't look to the students to fill the midcard, there's still some decent talent around, like Irish Airborne, Silas Young, the rest of the YRR and Chris Jones.

I don't see anyone really going anywhere when the contracts expire. The only guy I see going is Danielson, but with TNA and WWE cutting down, he probably won't get a deal.

Japan. They should to Japan here. They don't expect much. More KENTA and Go!

I don't think they have to pay for them either, all of their matches are set up by NOAH, and Harley Race's promotion helps too. But it would be pretty sweet if they brought Taiji Ishimori and Kota Ibushi into ROH, they brought Ibushi in earlier this year, and if Chikara can do it, they can pull that off too.

I don't thinkn Paul London would ask for too much. This is where he came from, after all. You'd hope that he'd be good about it.

From the reports, London is apparently done with professional wrestling and is looking to pursue other career opportunities, such as modeling, which he did before wrestling, or getting into acting.

Either way, I hope London does appear in ROH.

But I think the main problem right now is that overall, wrestling isn't in a great state. The ratings are the lowest they've been since before the Attitude Era, and with less people watching, that means less people want to get involved with the sport. With less people, that only means that so many people can become wrestlers, and the most talented usually are signed by TNA or WWE almost immediately.

I don't think the ROH midcard CAN pickup until wrestling hits a boom period.

That is a pretty nice possibility. Seeing London grace an ROH ring would be amazing. Strong vs London. Aries vs London. Tons of options.

I think BKB is on the right track with guys like Pac. Another name they need is Human Tornado. Mike Quackenbush. I'd take anyone of those at the moment right now.

but what comes down to it is money. all 3 of those guys seem like pretty high paydays, and is seems like that's what was killing ROH in the first place. so the students seem like what fits now. they might need a midcard title now when I think of it, that would give a reason for some feuds. and I don't want to hear about the FIP belt, because a couple of guys don't wrestle for FIP.

I don't want to hear money and ROH, i think they are making money hand over fist. With all their money making sources (School, shows, DVDs, merchandise) I think ROH is fine with their finances, at the moment. They just don't want to spend the extra money, anymore.

Whats everyone's opinion on the students with their gimmicks being used more???

Im fine with gimmicking the wrestlers. That makes sense to me, however to bring these guys into the main shows, on a regular basis seems somewhat foolish to me. These wrestlers are not draws, only a few of them are over, and I think the fans would just rather see regular established wrestlers on the main show. I think the pre-show should be reserved for students/local talent, and be showcased on DVD extras. I do think guys that are over like Rhett Titus and Bobby Dempsey are fine in main show. BUT guys like Grizzy Redwood, who are not over, (because 90% of the audience feels like they could beat him up) should not be on the main show. There has to be a degree of believabilty with the wrestlers. Great wrestler, but he just doesn't have the body for wrestling, or anything more than a jobber, i should say.

I seriously wish the students would just go away. I honestly hate Titus and Dempsey, so I'd rather them not be on the shows either. None of the students have ever impressed me.

^^^Agreed. Other than Rhett's character (Not his actual in-ring skills), I have found pretty much all the students to be boring. Its a shame, to be honest. They've had Punk, Aries, and Delirious as the head trainers, yet they've only managed to train wrestlers that turn out to be sucktacular.

I find it hard to believe that CHIKARA can run a better wrestling school than ROH.
