Update one possible cause for his death.

We are starting to receive more details regarding the death of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer, who passed away Tuesday, March 5th at the age of 58.

A source who was with Moody at the Gulf Coast Wrestler's Reunion this past weekend in Mobile, Alabama, told me that Moody was saying that he had caught an upper respiratory infection in Chicago the week before. WrestlingINC.com reader Geno Velasco passed along the video above of Moody's appearance in Chicago, who speaks at the 1:15 mark. He was under a doctor's care and on medication for the infection. He attended the reunion in a wheel chair because he was weak.

TMZ posted a story about Moody's passing, and noted that while the cause of his death is unclear, "he reportedly suffered from serious health problems over the past decade ... including morbid obesity and gallbladder issues."

It's all within the context of a storyline. And we all know WWE would go there since they went there with Eddie and went there with Lawler's heart attack. Hell, Vince made fun of JR's colon cancer in 2005 and his bell's palsy last year, even though many grilled Russo and Ferrera over doing the same exact thing in WCW.
