JR only commentates when they ask him. He says multiple times on twitter he'd love to commentate more, but he's literally a prop WWE use when they want. Even he lacks the passion he once had.

King is god awful. He was great back in the day - it has nothing to do with heel/face now, he's just lost all passion. You moan at Cole but he puts over heels well and "buries" faces because no one competes with him. Watch SmackDown, he doesn't bury anyone there, why? Because Matthews and Booker shut him up and put over faces. Cole can not be play-by-play, Stanford should.

Even when creative made a great story-line (summer of Punk) - King would literally sit there and not put the story over at all. He'd insult Punk (as he was still heel) but so did Cole... was pretty messed up. But yeah, all he does is tell Cole to shut up and ignores the faces.

The good thing about JR was he could still sell moments at times, like when Miz and Truth attacked at HIAC. He was screaming for the cage to be raised. It just made a great spectacle.

Cole's fine now that he isn't making the show all about himself, taking up way too much screentime, although he's still a heel commentator that cheers for Cena and Orton but not Daniel Bryan. The issue with Cole for arguing with the others instead of calling the match, which is really irritating and just pointless. I just wish we could get straight commentary and a reason to boo the actual wrestlers on Raw.
