TBH I chalk that up to poor writing. She even stabbed Charlie in both the heart and the stomach to ensure he was dead.

Agreed. It hasn't been done yet. Not only would it be different to let a killer get away with it but it would be fresh change to know one of the killers at the outset of the film.

Agreed. It hasn't been done yet. Not only would it be different to let a killer get away with it but it would be fresh change to know one of the killers at the outset of the film.

They could have done that at the end of Friday the 13th Part V as well and made Tommy the new killer, same as the end of Halloween IV with Jamie. Both would have led to interesting follow up's, as would this one.
