I loathed the Nightmare remake. I'd say the TCM one is probably their best, though I also liked TCM: The Beginning.

I'd take a Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or The Hitcher (actually my favorite film of theirs) over Rob Zombie's Halloween any day.

Even though I hate on the Platinum Dunes movies, they aren't anywhere close to being as bad as Zombie's shitfests. I still need to get around to watching that DC of Halloween 2, but more and more I'm becoming convinced that its only going to exacerbate the issues I already have with it.

Even though I hate on the Platinum Dunes movies, they aren't anywhere close to being as bad as Zombie's shitfests. I still need to get around to watching that DC of Halloween 2, but more and more I'm becoming convinced that its only going to exacerbate the issues I already have with it.

I find the DC to be even worse. It's not a complete disaster, as it adds some character development here and there. But it changes the ending drastically. The film ends with the lousiest attempt at being artsy I've ever seen. Instead of a laughingly bad ending like the T Cut (which shamelessly ripped off the ending of H4), you get a frustratingly bad one. And to put salt on the injury, Love Hurts is played. -_-

I'll never understand why this film is so beloved on the HAlloween message boards.
