Yeah, if it wasn't for the clip, it wouldn't have been entertaining at all. The clip was pretty funny, but as far as the song, I just don't think I'll walk around singing it involuntarily like I did with that stupid "Call Me Maybe" song.

For me the bits that stick in my head are the "Oppa Gangnam Style" and the "Op op op" ( I think they are meant to be oh but it sounds like op to me). The fact that it is in Korean makes it a bit difficult to memorise and get parts stuck in your head, with Call Me Maybe it was so easy because of how simple the lyrics are. Still I think that it is pretty cool that some random rapper from Korea that has been at it for over a decade can suddenly have a worldwide hit thanks to the internet.

It reminds me of Gotye with "Somebody that I used to know". He was moderately well known in Australia but that song just became huge, in part thanks to the innovative video clip. That song managed to top charts all over the world thanks to everyone sharing the clip and it became huge thanks to that. He will probably only be a one hit wonder but that one hit will pay the bills for decades to come.

I have been doing that for three days now (ever since I heard it on Saturday). Stupid chorus :ARN:

From the sounds of this thread turning off WRITER's new mixtape to just listen to this song may be a mistake.

I was playing Gestures last week and someone got horse-riding or something and they did the dance to act it out. A couple people guess "Oppa Gangnam Style"

Now, I asked this question a while back on my Facebook, but never got an answer. I've been doing Gangnam Style for a while, before it became so hugely popular, does that make me a hipster or just a drunk?
