Freaking great 2nd Trailer. The Synthetic/Predator relationship is going to be really entertaining to watch for me.

Predator talking and trying to earn his stripes can't wait to see what happens at the end of this one

Did we need a last Trailer probably not but it's still cool to see more of this film. A Predator being frustrated and needing to figure out shit on his own is so great to see.

It's an entertaining sci-fi adventure, but a not a good Predator movie. Usually a fan of Elle Fanning's but she was annoying in this, she NEVER shuts up.
There were some cool action scenes and creatures though.

Interesting to me I like that she's a different Synth than what we've gotten in the past based from the Trailers. We've had arrogant ones like David but Bishop has been the best of the bunch. I won't mind Fanning's Character telling the Predator he's fucking up in the field because he's a baby he needs all the advice he can get.

Don't forget cracking lame Disney-level jokes every 10 seconds.

In this film? Peacemaker Season 2 had that problem jokes not hitting or just there to be there and not having any value to it.

Yes like I said she talks constantly. She reminded me of her character in We Bought a Zoo :lol

I thought her incessant babbling was hilarious at the beginning but it did start to wear on me the longer the movie went. I didn't like that she said "Dek of the Yautja" 3 times, even though it fit the context.

I do have to question what you think makes a good Predator movie, though? This is easily on par with anything other than the original, which is virtually untouchable. The only other one that comes close is Predators, and that's mostly due to it's amazing opening sequence. Predator 2 is beloved by fans, but it's laughably bad outside of the third act. Don't get me wrong, it's still a solid 7/10 for me, but to compare it to an actually well crafted film like Badlands is doing both a disservice.

Trachtenberg is 3/3 with Predator as far as I'm concerned, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

I like my predator to be a mysterious and dangerous killing machine, I don't need to see it involved in some family drama, like that scene when the brother saves Dek.

I think the movie would have worked better if it had been a new sci-fi franchise with Dek as another alien species.

It was a mysterious and dangerous killing machine in The Predator and that movie nearly destroyed the entire franchise.

Not to mention, Dek is still a total killing machine. I was continually amazed at how he was supposed to be the weak one in his clan while he was just annihilating everything in his path. Also, I wouldn't call it "family drama". That implies it's some sort of maudlin, tv movie type plot line. Kwei sacrificed himself to save his brother because he felt he deserved a chance to earn his honour among the clan. It's a tried, tested and true method of helping get the audience behind the main character, and it worked here perfectly.

I'd also like to add that a lot of people bitching about this movie (not including you here) are the same ones who bitch about Yautja never "winning". They finally get what they've been whining about for years and they still can't be happy. It must suck to be so miserable about something as meaningless as a fictitious race of alien hunters.

I would argue the predator wasn't the problem in this movie, it was the dumb writing, with terrible side characters like the guy with Tourette's or the fact that it wasn't about hunting trophies anymore but about autism.

Again though, I found Badlands entertaining. I don't care enough about Predator to complain about the sequels constantly, I've always preferred the Alien franchise anyway.
And that's one franchise that has a lot of problems with its sequels :lol

Oh for sure, the writing in The Predator was hideous and the movie had basically no redeeming qualities. I actually felt bad for the actors for having to star in it!

I can't find the energy to really complain about any sequels of any franchise, except The Predator, Halloween: Resurrection, The Exorcist II and MAYBE AvP Requiem just because it looks like it was filmed with the lens cap on, haha.

I keep forgetting (fortunately) AvP requiem ever existed.
