Yeah I did (well not adrive's NPA battle). smurfs got dropped on their necks.

I think it depends on the person. Adrive's and Mogwai's lives are cool, but some others can be boring as hell. And same with Emvee his post-coms are fine/entertaining but most others I don't even watch.

Though to be fair, I basically only watch Emvee, Adrive, Mogwai and SceptileMc's vids. Don't care for guys like Kooper, Battler X, Chimpact (he's good but boring), etc.

That is why I say catch Absol after the 6th gym (the route just after that town). Absol never evolves and it is so f***ing majestic!

I started my Emerald game up finally the other day. I'm just about to head towards Mauville City, and my team consists of Marshtomp, Poochyena, Ralts, Shroomish, Taillow, and Aron. Of course I grabbed a Zigzagoon for HM whoring as well.

Not bad of a team. Ralts grows to Gardevoir and is strong, Breloom has a lot of weakness but damage potential. Tailow is a good flying type, Aron is a tank. Nice team, and Poochyena.

Poochyena is there for Dark moves until Absol, of course.

Since it is Gen 3, I say if you use Absol, teach it Shadow Ball. The issue in gen 3 is that all dark moves are special...and Absol is a physical attacker. And Ghost moves, although won't get same type attack bonus, offensively is the same as dark, hitting Pyschic and ghost super effective.

I feel like such a novice (which I am, so I guess that is okay). But the HMs, are those learned just through the leveling up like normal moves or am I missing something? The wiki page didn't elaborate much.

But, HM moves are pretty much TM moves that don't go away after single use and they are unable to be unlearned normally. You get them either normally through the story, or you get them by talking to people.
