The Mayan calendar is out compared to our calendar anyway, the day that they deemed to be December 22nd 2012 happened nearly a year ago, not to mention they didn't even predict the end of the world just a rebirth.

I dont understand why idjuts put all this faith in an ancient civilization somehow having discovered when the worlds gonna go bang, it will be interesting to see how many people go bananas in December.

No one will ever understand the stupidity of certain people, you think you may have a grasp on it and then someone will raise the bar.

How many people still believe in the Bible? How many people still believe in Illuminati? You just can't reason with certain people, it's like trying to kick water uphill, all you end up with is wet feet.

It's pretty astonishing how much you can control and manipulate others using the word of God. The Jonestown incident is beyond what I think would even be possible. I should study the ways of Jim Jones and start my own cult.

Well, it's 2013 and everybody's alive and kicking, thriving actually. (At least in my country) So let's begin the new year by hoping that planet earth learns from her follies and doesn't fall for anymore "doomsday" scams. Sick and tired of it already. What's this like the 100th one?

Speaking of things that are "not normal", I've always been fascinated by the Nazca lines. Why would someone bother etching out such an intricate design on the earth? Instead of building say...a monument or a temple? Odd.

Some individuals propose alternative hypotheses. The Swiss author Erich von Däniken suggests the Nazca lines and other complex constructions represent higher technological knowledge than commonly believed to be existing when the glyphs were created. Von Däniken maintains that the Nazca lines in Peru are runways of an ancient airfield that was used by extraterrestrials mistaken by the natives to be their gods. His theory has not been accepted by scholars.

After a four year career Gandhi finally returned to India in 1891. With his return a bad surprise was waiting for him, sadly when he was studying in London to have a good education and make his family proud, his mother passed away shortly after he left. Father died in 1885.

That is just so disturbing on so many levels......

I'll try to jump start this thread with some discussion about this new awesome show Ghost Mine. It just started airing a couple weeks ago on SyFy. I've only got around to watching the first episode but the footage they've already got is pretty sweet. After watching it I think the place is littered with ghosts from old mining trips gone bad since they're have been shootouts over gold in the mine or a Big Foot and his Family are living in the back of the mine just trying to survive.

I think everyone interested in this stuff should check it out.
